It took Quackity a week to sneak around Fundy and use his brewing stand. The young fox just seemed to always be around his home. It frustrated Quackity but he let it go as he set his plan into action. He ate a slice of rotten flesh from a mob he had killed a few days ago and immediately felt his body reject it. It hurt but he needed to do this for the plan to work.
He walked towards the L'manberg entrance and began to double over in pain as yell out. Attention was drawn as he heard multiple feet running towards him. He looked up to see the new cabinet leader Ranboo and Dream standing over him. With what Quackity called fake concern, Dream reached down to wrap his arm around his waist and hoist him up.
"Quackity what happened? What's wrong?" Dream said worriedly. Ranboo had grabbed his other side and began to lead them over towards a bench off the Prime path.
"Yeah, what's wrong Quackity? Did you drink some poison or hurt yourself?" Ranboo kneeled in front of Quackity staring up at him in nothing but concern. Quackity felt bad for making the kid worried so he just patted his head and smiled in pain.
"I don't know what happened but don't worry about it. I'll go home and rest until I'm better, alright? It's probably just some weird stomach virus which I certainly don't want to give to you guys. Thank you for helping me Dream but I'll be on my way now." Quackity stood and patted Dream on the shoulder giving him a smile before walking off. His smile immediately wiped off his face as he walked past Dream.
When he saw the two had turned back into their conversation he immediately ran behind a nearby building and downed a healing potion. It may have been for show, but his stomach still hurt from the flesh. He looked in the bag that was around his waist and pulled out an invisibility potion taking in a deep breath and downing it. He felt his body warm up a little as the potion began to take effect. His armor was in his bag along with an axe as he put it in his inventory. He gulped before stepping onto the Prime path to see Dream leaving and Ranboo running towards Tubbo who had just come from the L'manberg meeting Quackity didn't attend.
He smiled at the two laughing with one another before catching up with Dream. He had eight minutes before he would have to hide and take another potion. He had made five just in case this would take a while. And a while it did take. Dream just seemed to be running around the server as if he were patrolling the citizens. He would mumble nonsense about a book to himself every now and then making Quackity extremely uncomfortable for some reason.
He sighed as he pulled behind a tree and took his 3rd potion before following Dream again in the forest. He watched as Dream killed a pig and began to cook it, humming to himself. He would make jokes to himself and laugh at them with little to no feeling. Quackity sat next to Dream watching as he just blankly stared at the fire he made. It unsettled Quackity how alone they were. Of course, Quackity knew he wasn't alone but, Dream didn't. Quackity wasn't one to diss those whole enjoy alone time, even he liked his solitude every now and then. But the way Dream was having a full-blown conversation with himself as he packed up his now cooked food made Quackity worried. Is this really the person looking after Tommy?
Following Dream more as he came to a clearing in very outskirts of the forest, he saw a portal standing alone surrounded by shrubs. Dream seemed to have brightened as he walked towards the portal holding the food, laughing. Quackity followed after checking the time on his 4th potion. He had 3 minutes before he would have to take his last one. He walked through the portal to see an island of nothing. It was just an undiscovered piece of land. Walking of the plush grass and onto the beach front he saw him. He smiled in joy until he saw his face. He had fresh bruises and bandages as his face was crestfallen. He was sitting outside of a dingy tent with dirty ripped clothes. He could see the scars on the kid who peered up at Dream beaming. Quackity felt sick to his stomach as he watched Tommy smile and thank Dream for coming to see him.
