Dear Diary,
I'm starting my junior year this year, and I really don't want to go. I know mom would have wanted me to, but I guess that's something I wouldn't know because it's not like she's here. I miss her, I wish I could cry on her shoulder, hold on to her and beg her to not let me go to school. But I can't, and it sucks. I sure as hell hope this year is better than last year.
I know everyone is going to stare at me.. the girl who's mother killed herself. The girl with a crazy mother who believed in the weirdest things..
Love, Jess.
She shut her journal, wiping her eyes. She shouldn't be crying, and she knew this, but she couldn't help but miss her mother. Her bed made a creaking noise as she stood up, slipping on her shoes before grabbing her bag and her keys. The house was quiet, her father already at work because he couldn't look at any of the memories for too long. Jess's sister was downstairs eating cereal, reading through her mother's diary. "ROSE WE'VE TOLD YOU NOT TO READ THAT." The freshman wiped away tears, eating some more cereal. Jess picked up the book, tossing it in her bag.
No one was allowed to read it, the doctor said it would cause the family to become depressed. It was ture, that was how Jess becamse so upset. She read it, saw the thoughts. Her mother believed in some crazy stuff, and if it scared Jess, it scared Rose. She looked at the clock, "Oh crap, Rose hurry up. Unless you want to ride the bus, you better get your butt up." She opened the front door, leaving it open to make sure Rose would get out. Jess started her car, turning on the radio.
Rose stepped out of the house, closing the door behind her. When she got in the car she cleared her throat. "Jess, do you think mom was crazy?" Jess shook her head, "No, she was just hurting Rose.. just hurting." First lie of the year.

When they got to the school Rose went to the office to get her schedule, Jess went straight to her new locker. She opened it, tossing her things in as she looked down at her schedule. It was probably the worst schedule she could ask for. All of the advanced classes, she couldn't handle that.
She closed her locker, walking towards out to the next building, finding her class easily. It was Advanced History, the class barely had enough seats to fit the amount of students. As the teacher walked in, she sighed. "Okay students, please just sit down and get quiet. I'm Mrs. Karry and I want you guys to know that if you aren't going to take History serious, I'm going to ask you to go change your schedule right now." All the students quickly shut up, and then a guy walked in. He had just taken off his jacket, sighing as everyone was staring.
Mrs. Karry stopped him, "Sir, your name? And excuse for why you're late?" He chuckled, "Name's Artie... And some kid parked in my spot." Everyone laughed, Mrs. Karry just pointed towards an open seat and sighed, shaking her head. She started calling role, Jess' name came up.
"Jess Hans."
She sank into her seat and raised her hand. "Uhm.. here mam." The room filled with whispers, and finally the Artie guy cleared his throat, "Shut up guys, it's just a name gosh." Jess smiled slightly, sitting up straight. As the day went by, the Artie kid seemed to look even cuter as Jess realized they had every single class together.
The last bell rang, everyone was gone. Jess stopped by her locker, grabbing her backpack and her keys. When she closed her locker, Artie was standing there smiling. Jess screamed and then it turned into a laugh as he just smiled. "Jess, it's just me. I just wanted to ask you if you could give me a ride home. I just went to my car and it's shut down." She felt her mind slip away from her, he was so cute and was talking to her? A football player was talking to her? She smiled, "Sure, just follow me."
She woke up, the nap she had made her realize she didn't remember a single thing that had happened after the conversation between her and Artie.
Dear Diary,
I can't remember, but I think I made a friend today. His name is Artie and he's so cute, but he's just creepy. First off, I thought he was just messing with me. Someone like him talking to a girl like me? I mean, it sounds cilche for me to be thinking that but a football player talking to some quiet girl who's mother was the town crazy?
Well, I feel like my mom would be so proud of me. But you know what's weird diary? I don't remember anything after Artie asked me to take him home? Maybe I just slept it off and forgot... I don't know?I hope I remember, because what if something totally freaking cute happened and I didn't know? Who knows?
Love, Jess.

Artie felt as sweat poured down his face, the sounds of bones snapping filled the small room. He screamed, the pain being too much to handle. A low growl filled the room as the pure white wolf slammed against the walls. A yelp of pain went through the room as the wolf fell to it's belly, a tear falling through it's fur. One thought slipped through the wolves' mind.
Jess.
