Sahara Desert

The sun is going down over the dunes
as the last meal of the day is being prepared while the men of the tribe are securing the animals for the night.
A little girl of perhaps six or seven ducks into a tent giggling and running straight into the legs of an elderly woman who croaks out "Anat why are you running?" The little girl looked down slightly ashamed "Mother said to go away I was being a nuisance while she and my older sisters cook."
The grandmother chuckled "Then how about I tell you a story while we wait?" Anat nodded her head enthusiastically as her grandmother took her hand and lead her to the sitting area of the tent squatting down on a small square stool making the girl sit beside her on a rug. The grandmother runs her hand through her granddaughter hair "Let met tell you a story that my grandmother told me that her grandmother had told to her its a very old story that dates back to the time of the pharaohs when wolves ruled the desert"  the little girl looked up quizzically "Jadda there are no wolves in the desert" The aging woman looked down at the girl sadly "True my little one, but long ago there was many and the most powerful wolf among them was Amun Jah the Moon King
