After a few days of travelling, a floating island could be visible in the skies. It appeared lush and full of life. And at the top of the mountain, a visible creature was there.
"My people call him Ish'x'tar, the Ancient Dragon. He's been stopping our travels North for some time now, and we need him gone. If our competitors get to the far North before us, then there will be nothing we can do."
"Of course, this coming from the person we just me," Mindartis said. "I think it's time to meet the locals."
And then the dragon was there, when nothing else had been in that spot before. "You dare bring demonspawn to this place?"
"We were told that you were troubling his people," Aramil says, stepping forward. "What is your story?"
"I stopped demonspawn moving North a few months ago... it might have been a year ago."
Harry, whose hood has fallen off to show an evil face with elvish ears. He was a shadow elf, a demonspawn. "It was thirteen years ago! You killed my grandfather, dragon."
"Did I? I don't think so. I think I killed a monster!" the dragon roared, shaking the airship. Valenae slid, but grabbed onto a door handle to stop herself. "I killed a monster that was moving North to look for the great demon, the Lord of the Underworld, the Scar on the Face of the World, Elumistar: Thennoth."
"Thennoth?" Mindartis asked, and you could see the cogs turning in his mind. "Thennoth! Thennoth dies eons ago, long before your time, lord. Why would you think Thennoth is in the North?"
"Because that is where my father constructed his tomb, where Thennoth is imprisoned by the warden."
"Where all things end is where you seek your path / dragons, elves, and airships block the dark path / the demon Thennoth rises soon and the warden will fall to her knees / the apocalypse will begin when the drowned bell rings." Herzgo says, smiling. "You just confirmed the prophecy, fool dragon!"
Herzgo pitches himself off of the airship, with no way to stop himself from dying. But death didn't stop shadow elves, they were a loyal and proud people.
"I will bring your airship to Lunan, where you will be safe for now. And then the council will want to speak with you."
"The council?" Aramil asked.
"Yes, the council. The High Council of Elves that existed before the world discovered steam. The High Council that will decide your fate."
