Dr. Rose Smith walked down the street. She heard a banging sound coming from a garage. Rose turned into the driveway. She wore a pair of navy blue jeans under navy blue slacks with a navy blue halter top and a navy blue turtleneck sweater with a navy blue vest over it. All of which were tucked into her pants. She wore a pair of navy blue high heels and a navy blue leather jacket. She opened the garage door and lifted it up. Suddenly something came flying out of the garage. Rose was knocked down. John looked up from where he was at and stood and ran over and jumped over bushes and grabbed his sonic screwdriver and fired at the creature which shrunk and dropped into Rose's hands. John knelt beside her and helped her sit up and said gently: "are you okay?" Rose gripped his arm and said shakily: "I'm okay. Just a bit shaken up but otherwise okay. Hold me." John took the creature and stuck it in his pocket along with his sonic screwdriver and wrapped his arms around her and held her close to him. Rose gripped his jacket in her hands and said shakily: "that was so scary." John gently stroked her hair and said gently: "shhhh. It's okay. It's okay. You're safe now. I'm right here. It's okay. I've got you. It's okay." Rose leaned against his chest and broke down and cried. John held her close to him and gently stroked her hair comfortingly. He let her cry because he knew that she was shaken up from the encounter. Just then Lorelai came running up to them. She said: "are you two okay? I saw what happened from where I was. Unfortunately I wasn't close enough to get that creature." John said: "no worries. I beat you to it. I was closest to your Mom's position. Are you okay?" Lorelai said: "I'm fine. Found another one of your scribble creatures. I analyzed mine. Get this. It's made out of graphite. Same as the led in your average pencil. I did some digging. There's a girl around here that can make drawings come to life. I'm going to go try to talk to her. Dad, take Mom back to the TARDIS. Hand me your scribble creature." John reached into his pocket and pulled out the scribble creature and handed it to Lorelai. Lorelai stuck it in her pocket. Then John scooped Rose up and stood and carried her back to the TARDIS. Meanwhile, Lorelai walked up the driveway and knocked on the door. The mother opened the door. Lorelai smiled and said kindly: "Hi, can I speak to your daughter please?" The mother looked worried and said: "come in. Please. She's locked herself in her room. I can't get her to unlock the door. I'm worried about her." Lorelai walked in and ran up the stairs to Chloe's bedroom and kicked the door down. She looked at the mother and said: "call my Dad! Use my phone!" She grabbed her phone and handed it to the mother and ran over to Chloe and spun the chair around and took the pencil away and said kindly: "hey, listen to me. This has to stop. I know that you're lonely. But you have your mom. All those children that you drew, they have families that are worried about them. They want their child to come home to them. You have the ability to reverse it. Please, do the right thing and reverse it." Chloe cried and said: "but then I'll be alone again." Lorelai knelt down and pulled Chloe into her arms and said kindly: "I know. I know. I know what it feels like to be alone. I ran away from an orphanage when I was 12 years old. I found my parents when I was 13. I felt alone for 12 years of my life. I know what it feels like. My Dad lived alone for a long time before he met my Mom. Please, do the right thing and reverse it. I know it's hard. I understand how you feel right now. You feel alone and lonely. I understand the feeling more than you think. I used to be like you. Only minus the ability to make drawings come to life. Sweetie, you can't keep the children here against their will. That's wrong." Chloe hesitated. She said: "but I don't want to be alone again." Lorelai thought about it then said: "would it help if you had a companion?" Chloe said: "yeah." Lorelai smiled and said: "I had your Mom call my Dad. If I'm not mistaken, he should be coming any minute now with a girl we rescued during a crash. By the way, sorry I kicked your door down. Probably should have knocked before I went kicking your door down." Just then John said from the doorway: "I got your call. I brought that girl we rescued during a crash with me. Any luck?" Lorelai looked over and stood and said: "Dad, I know why she's doing this. It's because she's alone and lonely." John said: "Can she reverse it?" Lorelai said: "Dad, cool it. I'm working on it. You forget, I used to be an orphan. So, I understand what she's feeling." Just then the closet rattled. Chloe immediately started panicking. Lorelai looked at her and said kindly: "come here. Stay close to me." Chloe moved close to Lorelai. John and the other girl came in. Lorelai grabbed her sonic screwdriver and flipped it on and pointed it at the closet and fired. The closet doors flew open. John grabbed his sonic screwdriver and flipped it on, ready to cover her if need be. Chloe whimpered. Lorelai's expression was furious. John watched. What emerged from the closet scared John and the two girls. But not Lorelai. It was Chloe's father. His comments were aimed at Chloe. Lorelai looked at Chloe and said: "don't listen to him. He wants you to be afraid. You have the power to stop him." Chloe's father moved towards Chloe. Lorelai aimed her sonic screwdriver at him and said in a pissed off voice: "you have no control over her!" Then Chloe ran over to her desk and leafed through the papers on her desk and found the right paper and grabbed her pencil and looked at her father and said bravely: "be gone!" Then she erased the drawing. Chloe's father vanished. Lorelai and John flipped their sonic screwdrivers off and put them away. Lorelai walked over to Chloe and said kindly: "I'm proud of you." Chloe said: "you're right. I have the power to reverse this. It's not right for the other children to be kept here against their will. It's time to do the right thing and reverse it." John smiled. Lorelai said: "I'm glad." Chloe took the drawings down and reversed them. John crossed the room to the window and smiled as the other children were returned. Even the cat was returned. Lorelai joined him at the window. He said: "for a second there I thought you were going to blast Chloe's father." Lorelai said: "wouldn't have done any good. I was aiming to intimidate him and buy her some time. I wanted her to make that decision on her own. I was just buying her time. You were scared, weren't you?" John said honestly: "yeah. I was." Lorelai laid her head on his shoulder and looked out the window with him. John wrapped an arm around her and held her close to him. It took quite a while, but Chloe reversed all the drawings. By the time she was done, it was evening. John and Lorelai left. The two girls stayed there. They became inseparable. On their way back to the TARDIS, John and Lorelai stopped and got a bite to eat. Lorelai picked something up for Rose. John and Lorelai walked down the street. John said: "how the hell are you able to walk a long distance in high heels?" Lorelai said: "I do a fair bit of undercover work where I have to wear high heels. I'm used to it." Just then they heard the sound of fireworks and looked up at the night sky. Lorelai said: "you know, back there, I don't know why, but I just reacted when her father moved towards her." John said: "yeah, you were kinda scary there." Lorelai laughed and said: "you're not the first person to tell me that. I get that a lot." They reached the TARDIS and walked in and closed the door behind them. Rose was sitting at the console still shaken up. Lorelai said: "Mom, are you okay?" Rose said: "I'll be fine." Lorelai said: "okay, I find that hard to believe. You're pale as a ghost. Here. I picked something up for you." She handed the bag of food to Rose and walked to her room and walked into her room and took off her high heels and closed the door behind her and changed into casual clothes and lay down on the bed and turned the TV on.
