[AUTHOR'S POV, 6 MONTHS AGO]
"Andrius, stop it already," Arima whimpered as she moved away from him as he was currently showering her with affection while she was preparing their dinner.
He suddenly appeared, hugging her from behind, and started torturing her weak spot. He had given her light hickeys all over her neck.
"What's the matter, butterfly?" Andrius spoke again, pulling her back to her spot as he attacked her neck. Arima sighed at his behavior and said.
"But, Andy, I'm making dinner..." Arima said this while trying to cook and ignored him.
"But my dinner is already ready. Why should I wait any longer?" Andrius mumbled in a deep tone, turning Arima's cheeks beet red at his shameless words.
"But, Andy, I'm hungry..." She mumbled, barely able to control her voice, as he continued to work on her neck. However, after hearing her words, he sighed, which she felt on her neck.
"Fine, go ahead, but I'm not leaving..." Arima nodded and resumed her work, a smile on her face as she noticed him whining like a child. He does, after all, act like a child at times. She was cooking her dinner as he hugged her from behind, both arms around her waist.
Then, all of a sudden, Arima noticed something that had been going on for a few days. Andrius was rubbing his hand against her lower tummy. She was not feeling strange before, but she is now.
"Andrius..." Arima called him to tell him she was slowing down on her work, and he responded with a hummed response.
"What are you up to?" She asked, slowly looking at him. Andrius remained motionless and inquired as to what she meant. Arima then put down her work and placed her hand on his hand, which was caressing her stomach.
"This is what I mean. What exactly are you doing?" Arima inquired calmly. It was not a big deal, but she had the impression that he was acting with another purpose in mind. Andrius smiled and brought his lips to her ear, whispering.
"I'm just wondering how cute you'll look when you're carrying our child in your womb." Andrius simply stated, but the words that came naturally to him shocked Arima. As she processed his words, her eyes widened in shock and her heart raced.
"Do you want... a child?" She uttered those words while still reeling from the shock.
"Yes..." He turned her around, making her face him, as he kept his hands on the counter and her hands on his chest due to their proximity. "Our child..." He finished his last few words while she was still processing his words.
A baby?!
Arima was lost in her own thoughts about his words and sudden wish, but Andrius misinterpreted her reaction.
"Do you not want to?" Andrius inquired, his smile and the small excitement in it had vanished somewhere.
"No, it's not that..." Arima said quickly, still reeling from the shock. "It's just..." Andrius frowns when he sees her reaction. He had negative thoughts for a brief moment, believing that she does not want a child with him.
"Arima, what is it?" He asked her directly, catching her attention when she heard her name. His expression indicated that he was clearly thinking something inappropriate.
"It's not that I don't want to have a child with you. I'd like to be called mumma and you, dada, but..." She took a breath and looked him in the eyes before continuing. "This world must be a safer place before our child enters it..."
As he heard her words, Andrius's eyes widened. He was also aware of what she was talking about. Rowan and people like him have become a major headache for him, and his troubled self worries Arima, which he is aware of.
