„I know you don't like her, but thank you for taking me." Min-ji whispered.

They were in Yoongi's black mercedes on their way to their mother. Min-ji didn't exactly know what happened between Yoongi and her mom and whenever she would ask they'd both tell her that it's better for her to not know what happened. Of course she was still curious about it, but it just seemed like none of them would crack anytime soon.

„Anything for you Mini"

Yoongi's and Min-ji's parents weren't divorced, but they were sure that was just for the facade, their business. Their mom lived one town further to stay closer to her new fashion business while Yoongi and Min-ji lived with their father in Seoul.

Their parents weren't super loving but they tried, although they are mostly occupied with their business all of the time. Of course the siblings could have whatever they desired since money obviously wasn't the problem but emotional support was something different. Therefore Yoongi and Min-ji were rather close, Yoongi was somehow filling a parental hole in Min-ji's life.

Min-ji always looked up to her brother, there was nothing about him that she wasn't proud of or what she didn't adore. He was simply the best brother she could wish for.

After an hour of endless traffic they made it to their mom's new company. They walked inside to the front desk where a young looking guy sat. His hair was messy and it seemed like he was stressed, files were all over the place and sticky notes were everywhere. Min-ji giggled at the sight of the messy male which looked up at the sound of them entering.

„Oh Mr. Min, I'm so sorry. How can I help you both today?" he bowed.

„We'd like to see our mother, it's important."

The guy started to look through the sheets sprawled on his desk.

„Hmm...oh. There it is! She's in a meeting right now but she should be done in 10 minutes. You can just wait in her office if you'd like to"

„Sure, thanks Namjoon"

„No problem"

„See you Joonie" Min-ji said before they made their way to the elevator.

„There was no reason for you to act so stuck up" Min-ji giggled poking Yoongi's side playfully. Yoongi rolled his eyes befor chuckling.

„Common, don't tell me it's not funny to see him struggle"

„Fair point"

„Jeongguk! Table six needs to be cleaned. Reservation in 5" Ja-eun said.

Jeongguk rushed to table six, collecting the bowls and glasses before cleaning it. He placed the flower and the candle back on the table before walking back and picking up the next tablet with drinks, serving table nine.

That's how he'd usually spend his afternoon, working in this small café in the poorer districts of Seoul, after that he would work the night shift at a small company where he basically just has to be there as Security.

On the weekends he'd work in the café or a small flower shop where his mom works when she's feeling well. He would come home at night, sometimes learn or text Sun-hee before he'd go to sleep.

This all seems exhausting right? It was, it was more than exhausting but Jeongguk didn't even think of complaining once, because he knew why he was doing this. He was doing this for his family and he'd do anything for his mother.

After his shift he got a text from his other workplace, saying that he wouldn't have to come today since the person he was supposed to fill in for, called claiming he could do his shift. He smiled at the news, he could be home sooner. He rushed to the pharmacy buying his moms medicine before jogging home.

"Mom? I'm home"

„Mom?"

Jeongguk made his way into the livingroom only to see something horrible. His eyes widened as he gasped, his legs gave out and he fell back against the door. Tears were welling up in his eyes as he couldn't believe what he was seeing. His throat tightened and his lungs started to brun from the lack of oxygen.

There on the floor, right before the sofa, there she was. Her upper body littered with deep wounds, laying in a pool of blood.

Jeongguk couldn't take his eyes off of her until his vision went blurry from all the tears. Choked out sobs and heart wrenching cries were the only things heard from the boy leaning against the door, feeling as vulnerable as the little kid he still was around his mother, now alone.
