Prologue

Kennedy Karmichael is a young teen that just moved from Austin, Texas to Los Angeles, California in the midst of her parents divorce. Her dad stays in Austin while her mother moves her out to California in hope to get away from her past.

Kennedy is a girl who usually stays out of everybody's way and doesn't draw attention to herself.

Straight away, Kennedy is bullied by the "it" girl Mitchey Randall. Kennedy plans on toughing her way through her last 2 years of high school alone but that soon changes when she draws the attention of two guys from two different worlds, Matthew Richards and Kai Walker.

Matthew has been an inbetweener all through his life, not unpopular but not popular either. He kept to himself a lot but occasionally threw a huge party every once in awhile to have some friends. He's very sweet and nice to Kennedy when she first arrives at their school and soon becomes her first friend.

Kai is the most popular guy in the school. Hell he's the most popular guy in the whole city! His family is really rich and owns almost everything in the town. Everywhere you walk you see "Walker this, Walker that." Kai is a bit of a jerk and doesn't care for a lot of people except his girlfriend, Mitchey Randall. Kennedy soon starts to develop feelings for Matty. But when her and Kai get paired up in a project for science, she starts to learn that he isn't that big of a jerk as everyone says he is and starts to feel a spark between them as well.

What will Kennedy do when she's torn between two guys?

Who will she choose?
