We open up with clay delivering a speech to a large crowd. His party, the Common People's Party (CPP) has garnered quite a large number of followers and members.
"Yesterday..." Clay started, "December 4, 1571... A constitutional convention was held in the palace. The queen and her advisers, along with me and some of our party members, have unanimously ratified a constitution..." The crowd engulfs in applause, "... One that shall mark our path toward a greater future, a future that shall promote the general welfare, and embody our ideals. A decent respect to the opinions of the people, opts me to give you a quick rundown of the agreed-upon constitution.
For one, the queen, unfortunately, does not agree to become mere figurehead of the state. She shall exercise the top executive power of the state, one that has a strong influence in parliament. Proposals of a judicial branch have been denied, as the queen feels that such a branch of power is almost irrelevant and un-needed - the judiciary power is practically vested in the queen, and only the queen. The queen shall also have the power to ratify, enact, and veto bills in parliament at will. The parliament shall be unicameral; members of parliament shall, unfortunately, only be appointed by the queen, and of the nobles..." The crowd now feels alot less enthusiastic with this information "... Yes. Members of parliament, particularly of it's one and only chamber; The House of Lords, shall be appointed by the nobles...... And of our party, according to the amount of influence we have on the legislature ;)" the crowd once again cheers. "Alongside this, a constitutional convention shall also be held, to draft and ratify a constitution for the party itself... For the purpose of the party having a more... Consistent and efficient way of decreeing and decision-making for the party.
Worry not if the current agreement between the party and the government seems somewhat... Unbeneficial or unfruitful, for it does not mean the end of our efforts. This, is only the mere first step that I, no, we are taking towards a more representative democracy, and of a prosperous society for our posterity. After all, the nobles can't deny us! We are the people! The 99%! The future belongs to us!!"
The speech then ends with thunderous applause, followed by singing of one of the new propaganda songs the propaganda master had arranged, titled 'The Common People'. The entire crowd can be heard unanimously singing;
"... The common people's party, unitesss the common folk!
Empowerr the people, and let us fight with grace...
Oh great clay's partyy, unites the common folk!
Oh workers and farmers all alike, this is the perfect time to shine!..."And they continue singing
Around multiple towns, a large number of propaganda posters can be seen. Promoting the party, and subtly exposing the flaws of the current way of ruling. Clay finds Josefina and showers her with compliments. She has, after all, done a great job.
"... Absolutely amazing, Josefina!" Clay smiled, "How'd you get to compose such beautiful hymns as well?" He asked curiously
"Oh I didn't, we did" Josefina answered, as she gestured at one of the women who were socializing by the stage. Clay thanks Josefina, and comes down the stage to meet this person
"Ahh! Clay. An honor to meet you, truly..." the woman said, giving a polite bow to clay, "Phillipa Leoness, at your service" she continued.
"A pleasure to meet you, Ms. Phillipa" clay smiled, shaking her hand
"Oh, I'm married" Phillipa giggled, "I have a lovely husband who cooks the most delightful of meals for me at home. There's legitimately nothing ever more satisfying than returning home from a concert, and having a delicious meal he prepared just for me. A lucky woman, I truly am" Phillipa cheerfully remarked. The two of them then conversed for a while. The celebration ends as Clay and party members wave goodbye.
