There was a knock on the Hogwarts groundskeepers door. He may have been a giant but Dumbledore trusted him with his life,and he was right to do so. However,that is another story for another time.
Hagrid,We need you out here. It's urgent,"Minerva said,holding back tears.
"Minny,What happened?"
"It's Lily and James. They're both dead. You-Know-who is gone at the cost of their lives,"She said with a single tear running down her cheek. The giant made no such attempt. Everyone had known the couple since they were eleven. Now he wouldn't meet their little ones. At least that's what he thought.
"Hagrid,the twins are alive, but they must stay separate. Lily has made it quite clear that someone must be raised at Hogwarts is something happens. Dumbledore said the girl must stay here."
"What's their names?"
"Y/N and Harry Potter. They are the chosen ones."

~Time Skip~

I was the most excited I've ever been. Today I'd get to meet kids my age. I'd been waiting for this day since I was born. I'd be sorted into my house and wear my robes and make all kids of friends. I could even help them with their homework.

"Y/N, I need you to wait outside like you're brand new to this school. If anyone asks you don't know us, and this is you first time at Hogwarts,"Snape repeated.
"Yes Professor Snape,"I responded, with a cheeky smile. He isn't the most affectionate person but he still looks after me like I'm his blood family. Everyone in the castle does.

"Y/N, can you get outside now?"Minerva asked me. I nodded and skipped out of the castle.

"15 galleons she ends up in Gryffindor."

"You're on."

I was excitedly waiting for my turn in line. Finally, McGonagall as I have to call her now, called out my name. I went to the stage as calmly as possible. The hat barely touched my head before it shouted "GRYFFINDOR!"

There was cheering from my new housemates and I heard the words We got a Potter shouted over and over from them. I was completely and utterly confused.
I decided to ask later and took a seat by two red headed twins who became my absolute best friends.

~Present Day~

I was sitting with Fred and George waiting for the first years to be sorted. We mostly goofed off and I got a few warning looks from Snape. He hates them since they're trouble makers. He says that they're corrupting me. I say they're just friends with big personalitys.

"Harry Potter,"McGonagall called. I snapped my head that direction. I must have head her wrong. My last name might just be common. He did look a bit like me, but he was still far away.
The hat took longer with them. I could see him muttering to it. Finally the hat screamed "GRYFFINDOR!"
Just like when my name was called in my first year the table was louder than when others were picked for Gryffindor. It was kind of freaking me out for some reason.

Fred and George both looked at me then back at the boy.
"Why do you guys look so similar?"
"I don't know. I've never met that kid in my life."

The boy took a seat near me. At this point I could see he had my eyes. He looked back at me and seemed to be thinking the same thing. We both just sat there and waited until we could finally eat.

Dumbledore said what he needed to say before the food appeared. I put my favorites on there and then some. I didn't know if I would finish it, but there's plenty to go around.
