Healing a broken heart

Time have passed and Jaden feels a little bit lighter, not that he moved on that easy but he feels at ease that Daniel is with someone who knows how to love. He loves Dan that he is willing to let go.

Jaden is chilling in a coffee shop. He is sitting near to the door, he is in deep thought and was looking straight outside when a guy passed by. The guy looks cool, a pretty face and has a sweet voice.

"Kyle" the guy behind called. "Ohh that's his name" he spoke to himself and continued drinking his coffee.

Jaden is not the type of guy to fall in an instant, but he did this time. It was love at first sight.

Kyle approached his friend and sat down across Jaden's sit. Jaden took his phone and pretended to be messaging someone. Awkward, he glanced to the other table and saw Kyle looking his way.

They smiled at each other. Jaden is almost done with his drink, he's fixing his things. Getting ready to go.

*Jaden's phone rings*

He picked up and talk "Zup? Takata" "Eyyy Kanemoto where on earth did you go? We miss you here"

"I'll be back soon, maybe after a week or two" he said and dropped the call.

He stood up and head out of the cafe.

While walking, someone came running after him. "Excuse me, you drop your phone" he slowly turned his head and saw Kyle holding his phone.

He smiled and thanked him. "Hi My name is Kyle" "I'm Jaden, how can I repay your kindness? How about I treat you dinner?" Jaden thought of something so that he can see the guy again.

"Please say yes" he said. With a hopeful eye he waited for the answer.

"You don't have to, but if it will make you happy I'll say yes 😊" He smiled at Jaden.

"Thank you, so see you again around 6pm? Can I get your number?" They exchanged numbers and parted.

Kyle went back inside of the coffee shop while Jaden head towards his homestay to freshen up.

Heart tomping, Jaden gets ready and looking extra handsome for tonight's "date" oh it's not a date, just a token of appreciation for Kyle's kindness.

"Hi Kyle! Jaden here. Shall I pick you up? I booked us a reservation for dinner".

"Hi, here's my address B12 WAY-O AVE, see you" soon as he got the address he make his way to Kyle's address. Feeling hopeful and excited, like a teenager meeting his crush for the first time.

"So I was never in love with Dan, maybe I just love him as a brother and not romantically. Maybe I thought that those feelings were deep just because I didn't experience love at all" he said to himself.

They were friends for a long time, and Daniel was always there for him. He starts to realize things.

He reached his destination and he texted Kyle. "Kyle, I'm here". Soon as Kyle saw the message, he rushed to go to where Jaden is.

A few minutes after, they saw each other. "Shall we?" Jaden asked and they head to the restaurant.

"Reservation for two, under Kanemoto" Jaden said to the waiter.

"This way sir" and they followed

"It's beautiful here, thank you Jaden"

"This is the first time I saw you around" Kyle spoke

"I'm here for vacation, soul searching"

"Ohhh that's why, I always go to that same cafe where we met. My friend owns it"

"That's nice, so will I see you there again tomorrow?" Jaden asked

"Yes, until when are you gonna stay here?"

"Maybe a week" he answered.

Kyle and Jaden didn't notice the time.

They talk about a lot of things, even the things that bothers Jaden.

Heart to heart talk. "Don't be afraid to say everything, we just met I won't judge", Kyle spoke and when Jaden heard it he said "Thank you so much".

It's true what they say it's really nice opening to strangers sometimes. No judgements, no bullshits.

That night the two of them get a little closer. From strangers to friends.

Jaden is healing. Thanks to Kyle.
