I was always a little too curious for my own sake, getting into trouble, so I was sent here.

It had always been just us four; it was quiet and peaceful.

Until he came along.

A muffled and high pitched scream akin to nails on a chalkboard could be heard down the hall.

"Oh... what's that? That doesn't sound like anything down here. ...Up here? ...Somewhere. I don't know.

"Hel-- hello?" The muffled voice called out again. Wow... it sounds worried. I suppose it would be wise to go and say hello.

"Yes, yes. I am here now."

I screamed as I fell into the brightly lit lobby. I don't remember why I was screaming, but I probably should have. I could feel my adrenaline racing, the room before me was such a blur. I didn't understand what was going on and why. Pins and needles was the best way to describe what I was feeling. I couldn't stop screaming though. I felt so scared.

It took a minute to calm myself down, but eventually I did. I was probably going to feel sore later, because right now I felt incredibly tired.

"Hel-- hello?" I don't know if anyone was going to answer me, but I called out either way. What if something came to get me? Wait, why was I scared?

I didn't hear any door open or see anything when this happened, but I'm still glad it did.

"Yes, yes. I am here now." A voice behind me called out. I can't even explain what this voice sounded like. Nothing I could say could put it into words. Maybe it was a bit overdramatic-- or reading too much into it, but the sound of that voice made me feel safe despite being so monotone and uninterested.

"Hello?" I whipped around to see what the origin of the voice was, only to find myself staring at a blinding light. Closing my eyes almost instantly, I groaned at the sun of which I had just laid eyes upon so suddenly.

"Who are you?" The indescribable voice asked. "I don't think I've seen you around before. You're not a visitor." It stated plainly. There was no deception in its voice. If only I could just open my eyes.

"I'm--" and I paused. My name was just on the tip of my tongue. Who exactly was I? It was just on the tip of my tongue! If I was even given a slight hint, I was sure I could answer it. It just slipped my mind though. "...Uhh..." I had no answer. I had forgotten my name. How could I have? But then again, it was like my entire life had been stripped out from under me. I don't think...

"I see." The voice interrupted. "Why don't I call you... Green Fire Buddy? I like that..."

"Err..... why not.. Green?" Green Fire Buddy was a little bit on the tongue. If I was to be here, I might as well get a name. This-- well, whatever it is doesn't seem like it's going to hurt me.

The light as bright as a sun was silent for a few moments. "Yes, yes... I like that name better. Come, Green.

"You really must get yourself situated."
