This Fanfiction is based on the fan theory that Gawaine was actually the son of a Lord, not sure if it was actually Canon or not, let me know if you do. Basically Gawaine has a younger sister and she comes to visit him after hearing his name in passing, and that he had finally staying in one place long enough for her to pay a visit. It will follow their sibling relationship, the introduction and interactions of her with the Round Table, and her budding relationship with Percival.
"Gawaine!"
The knights had finally arrived back at the palace after a long trek through the woods. What had started out as a minor mission, had resulted in loosing their horses during a bandit attack, and Merlin nearly being eaten by a bear. To say they were glad to be back was an understatement.
"Gawaine!" The group paused in their tired yet releaved discussion, at the call of one of their friends names.
"I think someone's looking for you." Eylan said, as he pointed past the oblivious knight. Arthur, Merlin, and Leon all leaned around the group to see who was calling Gawaine's name. Gawaine turned around just in time to be slammed into by a young brunette woman.
"Ooff" Gawaine blinked down at the bundle of curls clutching him, worried it was a too attached lady of his. He pulled the woman back, and held her at arms length. His eyes widened in shock.
"Winnie! What-what are you doing here?" He asked in a flabbergasted tone. Winnie pulled from his grip with a wide grin.
"I came to see you of course, silly!" She had long dark waves, and matching brown eyes. She wasn't short, and was dressed in a fine gown, her shoes however, dirty brown boots. Gawaine glanced at the others in mild worry and panic. Winnie ignored his clear discomfort and skirted round him.
She lifted up the edge of his red Camelot cape, as Gawaine turned to catch her.
"A knight huh? I didn't expect that." She said as she dodged his reach, following the cape, lifting it up, and over her head, as she ducked away from her brother again, spinning him in a circle.
"Winnie!" He cursed out as he finally gripped her by the wrist, halting her excited movements. Gawaine glanced to his fellow knights with a grimace, as they looked on with raised brows and confusion.
"Stop that!" Winnie's eyes widened a fraction, and she frowned at his harsh tone. She twisted her wrist out of his grip, but didn't move away.
"I only wanted to come see you." She said with furrowed brows, and large doe eyes. Gawaine groaned at his sisters sad face, she always made these puppy eyes when she was sad, and he couldn't help but feel guilty and give in, every time.
"I'm sorry, look, just, not here okay?" He pleaded, refusing to meet eyes with any of his curious friends. Winnie sagged slightly, but nodded as she glanced over his shoulder at the knights still watching on. Percival smiled and Eylan gave a little wave, Lancelot nodding his head politely as the others gave similar gestures.
"Okay." She conceded, as she gave her brother an apologetic smile.
"My lady!" Gawaine groaned as another woman, a little younger, came bustling up to them, wildly out of breath, and wearing well kept commoners clothes. Winnie turned to greet the young girl with a smile.
"I'm so sorry to have worried you Aggie, we'll be off now." Winnie quickly linked arms with the young red head, and steared her away from the palace steps, her brother, and the knights, disappearing into the bustling crowds beyond the arch.
Arthur cleared his throat, and Gawaine winced, slowly turning around to face his friends with a grimace. Arthur raised a brow, Merlin looked like he might laugh, and Elyan grinned like an idiot. He was undoubtedly going to have to do some explaining.
