Supply Run

Me, Carl, And Rick have to run into town for some supplies later on today. I'm pretty nervous, why? Oh maybe because I have a crush on Carl. Literally nobody knows, except Enid. Enid has been my bestfriend ever since I came to Alexandria. She helps me through hard times, and things like that. I cherish her so much. I don't know what I would do without her somedays.

Y/N's POV:

I put on my ripped jeans, a black tanktop and a leather jacket. I heard the door open and saw Carl.

"Uh, Carl, a little privacy please?" I said.

"Yeah I know, but we're leaving in five minutes, hurry." He said looking a bit irritated. 

"Ok, ok, I'll be out in a minute." 

"Cool, okay." He said and slammed the door. Damn, what was his problem? Wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?

I put on my brown boots, and walked out by the gates where the car was sitting there, waiting for me. "Hey ya'll, I'm here." I said.

"Okay, Y/N, get in the car. We have to be back at sundown." Rick says.

"Yes sir."

The car ride was very quiet, no one spoke. It was just the sound of walkers in the distance and the engine. I looked out the window to admire the trees. Just because there is an apocalypse, doesn't mean I can't sink into a beautiful view. 

We got at the gas station about 15 minutes later. I grabbed my dufflebag and opened the car door. I could feel a presence behind me. I ignored it. 

"Okay kids, just go in there and grab what we need and get back ok?" Rick said out of the blue.

"Yes dad." Carl said.

I opened the door and held it open for Carl.

Wow, for an apocalypse this store was sure packed. I looked around and found some yummy snacks for me to sink my teeth into.

While I was grabbing a pack of stale M&M's, I felt a push against my shoulder. I looked back to see Carl walking past me.

"Carl, are you serious? You just pushed me when you walked by, and no apology? I don't know what your problem is today, but it needs to sto-" 

I was pushed against the shelf of food and felt a pair of lips touch mine. Carl cupped my face. I gathered enough courage to kiss back. The kiss lasted about 15 seconds.

"C-carl? What was that for? I said, surprised.

"Y/N.. I love you. I always have. I didn't have the courage to tell you though.." He said, laying his head onto my shoulder. I could see a deep blush on his face. 

"Awh, Carl, I love you too." I said hugging him.

He hugged back and we continued searching for some snacks.
