A Most Intimate Mission (Illumi X Reader) (Hunter X Hunter)

Chapter One

"Hmm." Silva hummed aloud,

'I suppose it's time.'

He sat for several moments, deeply in thought as he concocted a full plan. He then rose from his chair and proceeded down the hallway to gather Zeno and Kikyo for a private family meeting.
After the three entered a vacant room, Silva explained the task that he decided to set out for his eldest son.

The task in question was bestowing Illumi with the responsibility of extending the Zoldyck family. He was the eldest of the children and of the right age, so he should soon be preparing for this. The other two attendees of the meeting thought it over, but ultimately agreed.

"I already have someone in mind." Silva continued.

"One of my acquaintances from my youth that I met on a mission, Solaris, of the L/N family of assassins... He has a daughter of suitable age." Silva finished.

The others took it into consideration. They were familiar with that family, and knew they weren't even near the level of the Zoldycks, but they had been known to perform decently, and they got by. Kikyo was skeptical that a L/N would be good enough for her son, but Silva seemed to have deemed the daughter worthy enough to join and extend their family. She trusted her husband's judgment. Silva had seen Solaris and his father in action in the past and he had enough respect for their family. They seemed pretty capable. After confirming everyone's agreement on the matter, Silva promptly ended the meeting and busied himself with finding the contact information for the L/Ns.

It didn't take long for Silva to track down the L/N house's private landline. He dialed the number and waited for his call to be answered.

"Who's this?" asked a gruff but female voice on the line.

"Silva Zoldyck. I have a matter to discuss with Solaris."

"Solaris is dead. He fell ill to pneumonia a few months ago. If that's all, Mr. Zoldyck,  then I'll be going."

"Can I speak with Annaisse?" Silva asked.

He could discuss it with Solaris' wife if need be.

"She hasn't been around in over a year, she's been very busy."

"And who are you?"

"I'm her mother." the lady responded coldly.

"Then I'll discuss with you. The matter involves your granddaughter."

"I'm listening..." she replied suspiciously.

"I have a proposition for your family..." Silva started, then began explaining.

The woman listened intently. She couldn't help but widen her eyes at the amount of money that Silva was offering for her granddaughter. With the two top assassins of the family either MIA or deceased, work had been really slow for them lately. They could really use the money and she sure didn't mind unloading a burden... No longer having to worry about caring for her granddaughter was a nice bonus.

"9513 Scuzemi Street in Mount Sawrence. Be there at 6 P.M. tonight. She'll be ready." the woman replied before giving Silva the account information for where he was to wire her funds.

Silva and Zeno headed to the address personally. A typical abandoned building, looking to be the home of many shady deals and exchanges. Shortly after their private car pulled up, an older woman ventured out from the front of the building.

"Silva, I assume?" she asked him after he exited the car.

"Correct assumption. And where is she... Y/N? If I recall correctly?" Silva inquired.
