As the night proceeds, Haley and her guy, Barren, have disappeared to the restroom at least twice. My friend doesn’t waste time. Her favourite song comes on and she squeals before pulling me to the dancefloor. I am not much of a dancer but Haley on the other hand, is not your typical white girl with two left feet. She is a Hip-Hop dancer by heart. She used to dance at her high school and around her hood. When she starts showing off, I step back and she pauses, laughing.

“I didn’t mean to scare you away, friend. Anyways, why are playing hard to get? Lesley totally like you. He has been looking at you the while night. Just give him a kiss I you don’t wanna open your legs.”

I roll my eyes at my friend’s inability to stay out of people’s businesses. “His name is Wesley and no, I am not feeling him.” She gives me a pointed look. “Okay. Maybe I feel him too much but I don’t wanna put myself out there. You know I catch feelings easily. He just a passing guy. I am sure he has a woman warming his bed in his giant mansion. So no for me.” She grins and looks at something or someone behind me. I bet my flat ass that the guy I am avoiding is standing behind me and has heard all the nonsense that I just spewed. “He is right behind me, isn’t he?” she giggles before doing a moonwalk dance. I turn to see Wesley staring at me with a smirk.

“Passing guy, woman warming his bed, giant mansion, huh? I didn’t peg you as the judgemental type.”

“That’s not me being judgemental. I was just stating facts.” I walk back to our table that’s deserted. I sit on the bigger couch so I can stretch myself. He comes to sit next to me and now I have no choice but to scoot away from him. He chuckles.

“You can’t state facts about me unless you have stalked me, beautiful.”

“Stalk you?” I snort. “You’re not all that and I didn’t know shit about you before tonight.”

He smiles. “Well just to correct the rumours, I don’t have woman warming my bed and I don’t have a mansion here, only a penthouse apartment. The passing by point, well it depends on business ventures.”

I scoff. “Of course.”

“You’re a beautiful young lady, Fiona. Aside from tonight, because you might think the only thing I wanna do is get inside your panties, I would like to get to know you better and explore your body sexually. And no, I don’t want you to become my sex slave or anything, just an acquaintance.”

“How nice!” I exclaim, chuckling. “I am not an escort or a sex worker, thank you very much Mr. Wesley. So take your offer elsewhere.”

He cocks his eyebrow. “Is that you want?”

“I have no interest in your offer, Wesley. So go bother someone else, geez.” I stand up, taking my handbag and head to the dancefloor. I spot Haley grinding on Barren’s dick. That girl is very sexual. I walk to her. “I am going to the restroom.”

“Okay girl. Go scratch that itch.” She licks her lips and I laugh.

I walk towards the restroom and spot an emergency exit. Lucky for me. I request a cab before stepping outside on the cold dark alley. Fuck me. I slip my phone inside my bag and walk to the street. I wait on the side walk for my ride. I hear whistles and laughter before someone grabs my waist from behind. I squirm and try to free myself but my attacker is strong. He chuckles in my ear and I catch the scent of a cheap cologne and immediately know who my attacker is.

“Let go of me, asshole.” I step on his sneakers with my heel and he groans, releasing me in the process. I turn just to see his face and run backwards from him so that he won’t catch me by surprise again and he curses under his breath.

“You stupid bitch. You will regret doing that.” He springs towards me and I quickly take out a pepper spray from my bag.

“Take another step forward and I will make your eyes burn.” He stops for a moment but decides to proceed with the attack.

“I would listen to the young lady if I were you. She is wise.” Wesley’s voice beams from somewhere and before I can look around to see where he is, my attacker grunts before crumbling down on the pavement. “Are you okay?” he asks coming closer to me. I don’t know how I feel. He just saved me from being assaulted or even abducted. You never know what goes on in men’s minds.
“I think I am fine.” I exhale loudly.
“Come on. Let me take you home.” I give him a look and he chuckles, raising his hands up. “I have no impure intentions. I will just drop you off home and try my luck next time.”

I sigh. Well I am going to save money by ditching the cab. I hope it will get someone who really needs a ride home. “Lead the way.” He leads me to a red Ferrari that stands out in the parking lot. Of course he drives a flashy car. We both climb in and I tell him my address.
“I know that I came on a bit too strong back at the club. I just wanted to start on an honest clean slate. I never lead women on and I always make my intentions clear from the get go.”

“Oww. So they just happen to fall for you and get their hearts broken even though you come with a big warning sign?”
“Whatever you may think of me, it’s not true. I am attracted to you, sexually and I would like to fuck you. Excuse me if I didn’t sugar-coat things for you.”
I snort. “You are so sure of yourself. What makes you think I would want to sleep with you?”

He smirks. “Have you seen me? No one can resist me, even a nun. So soon, you will be begging me to plunge into your pink little pussy. And when I say soon, I mean really soon.”
OMG! “You’re so arrogant. But don’t worry. I will prove you wrong. You’re not all that, Wesley whatever your surname is. You can charm all the nuns in the world with your dirty talk but it won’t phase me.”

“Are you sure about that? Are you saying that if I were to dip my hands between your pussy lips, I would find you dry?” he tilts his head to the side, half daring me. Shame. Unluckily for him, I know mind games like these, and I never fall for them.
“Unfortunately, you won’t find out.” He didn’t even realise that we have arrived at our destination. He looks around.
“You’re a student?” he asks, frowning. Our building is occupied by fashion students. It is really posh, safe and there are never break-ins here.

“Yeah, fashion. I hope we never cross paths again, Wesley.”
“It’s Wes, and trust me babe, we will see each other. Sooner than you know it.” He winks as I climb off the car. He is so full of himself.

“Tell me all about it.” Haley gives me the spill look the moment we sit on the kitchen island for some pizza the following afternoon.
“There is nothing to say. The guy is arrogant. He said he wanted to sleep with me. No ‘explore me sexually'. Can you believe him? Well I told him to shove his offer up his ass. I am no escort?”

She groans and slams her head on the counter. “You are the most stupid genius I have ever seen. You’re no virgin, Fee. A few nights with him an he would’ve blessed you abundantly. Barren told me that Wes is worth more than a hundred millions. Imagine that. He still works hard to grow his money and assets. Best part, he is only 29. You don’t have to open your legs for a potbellied wanna be rich guy who will give you R5000 and expensive shoes. Wes can actually afford to buy you an entire boutique. He can even fund you while you get your career off the group next year. Don’t be dumb.”

“His age doesn’t matter. Sex in exchange for money, that has sugar daddy written all over it. I am not cheap, Haley and can we please drop this now? The world doesn’t revolve around Wesley whatever his last name is.”
She rolls her eyes. “I hope you don’t regret your decision.”

I decide to change the subject. “Tell me about Barren. What went down after I left?”
“You mean what didn’t went down? Because everything went down honey.” She screeches and I chuckle. At least she is off my case. For now.
