It was a quite night, the Daka had a long day of carrying out their traditional routine. Man would go haunting for game, for each accomplishment, they would be rewarded with a tribal mark on their flesh. Man wore animal skin and bones, while females only wore animal skin. They had a creative style on how to wear their hunts.

In the Daka tribe, male, who are at the age of their adolescents join to be warriors of the tribe, their differentiated by their unique leopard attire and woot hog skull on their heads, and they are given hard ,strict, training.

Upon the forest's rest, the upcoming warriors set around a bon fire. They spoke of the ancestors, how brutal the event was, what event? You might ask.

" Hendrinah" haidi began. Haidi is one of the tribes former warriors before the dark spirit attacked the tribe. He was King Zuki's acolyte. He was old and had a large beard.

he glared deep into the heart of the fire as he continued to say " its name was hendrinah, it was summoned when our livestock became scare, we had nothing, the people were falling ill, we thought the Gods ignored our cry....until one night, I and the hunters set rest next to the hunting ground. Fiku, one of the hunters. sayed he was woken by a voice that called him deep into the dark of the unknown, leading him to a stone covered in camel thorn branch. It told him all the tribe's suffers will be burned if he summoned it. And so, he did" haidi raised his left arm, sprinkling powder dust on the fire that made it burst into an inferno, allowing it to illustrate his words.

" As it promised, it gave life to the forest again, we had livestock, it healed the sick, the Gods have blessed us, we shouldn't have doubted our faith. So,we thought. Hendrinah it was called. was covered with tribal marks all over its body to its face. Hendrinah enjoyed the tribes praise, that it wanted more than just being the tribes help. It wanted to rule the tribe, it wanted to be worshiped " the fire began to change colour as he proceed saying

" but the king refused, it became furious and said ' iam the one that deserves to warm the sit on the throne, not you, iam the one they praise the most' but the tribe did not agree to its quotes, therefore she turned her back on the tribe and warned that it shall return, for remorse. The tribe should prepare. King zuki was bold. He didn't shiver to any of its warnings. King zuki was happily married, and in few months time gave birth to a boy, to an heir "

"King yaka" one of the worriers said.

" Yes" haidi replied " At dawn on that same day, the surrounding air became cold, the atmosphere carried a warning. Hendrinah , and in her eyes carried nothing but hate. All worriers sacrificed their life's, for the tribe including the king. It took off my right arm that attempted to swing her with a blade. The queen lost her life aswell trying to defend her people, i took the heir and gave him to the mothers of the tribe who exiled with the young children into the deep heart of the forest, during the battle, fuki ,who held the stone, de-summoned it. The cold wind joined it, both from the east and west, from north and south its dark force formed, to follow it, to its end.

The whole battle field was buried by a mist. I ran to the path that the mothers took and we built the new civilisation of the Daka tribe, i trained the heir, king yaka, to be the greatest worrier he is today" the fire went dim.

Morning, before the sun could peak through the clouds, king Daka was getting prepared to seek for hunts near the river side of the forest, he had a masculine body that showed proof of his hard training. He always preferred hunting alone but this time he took with a child, his name was rico, son of Haidi.

They both hid themselves with long leaves waiting for any game that would be at its disadvantage. Finally a hare presented its self on spot. The king raised his spear and sharply threw it at the target.

" Thats unfair, i had it " said rico, holding a bow and arrow, who obviously wanted to take the shot instead.

" You're too slow" king yaka replied. Before walking towards the lifeless hare.

Rico was annoyed and the king realized it, "don't worry the next one is yours" the king giggled. The king always considered rico as a sibling he never had, he would always want to pass on his skills and knowledge to him, although, rico was a cantankerous little boy. While the king was always affable.

The king knelt down on one knee to match rico's height. " One day, you will be the greatest warrior, iam going to make sure of it" the king promised.

" How? By stealing my hunts" rico replied.

The king giggled before saying " well if you're too slow than yes"

" Patience, my father told me that"

" Ow you're becoming wise like your old man huh?" The king smirked. Patience, something the king wont put in consideration, he has advanced hunting and Fighting skills, he could do both with his eyes closed.

He felt mighty, he felt like there was no need to wait if the opportunity presented itself.

" Come, let me show you something"
The king stood and led the way.

The king took rico at the lake, they sat on the sides as they glared at the astonishing beauty of nature that surrounded them.

" Do you know why i bring you here?"
The king asked softly.

" No, is it to sacrifice me to the Gods" rico's words always found a way to make the king giggle.

" Dont put ideas in my head boy, this is where your father would train me, he taught me a lot of things, he made me a warrior  " the king stared deep into his memories.

Rico on thee other hand was quite addled, " why do u speak as if my father is dead, you know his snoring back at our abode "

" Ow shut up" the king laughed, as he pushed rico, causing him to tilt all the way down. They all joined in the moment and began to enjoy each others company.

" King?" Rico called, the king responded with a glare. " The stories that my father has told me, about the past, its terrifying"

" I know" the king replied

" Is it why the warriors train with all their might?.....is it, w-will it.... return?" Rico stammered. Questions that gave a frisson of nervousness in the atmosphere. The king had no answers to provide, but he could not leave the little boy with such fear so he said " our ancestors did what they had to do, to make sure, we never set sight of it again" the king glared at rico ensuring his words were installed in the little boys source of hope.

One of the tribe members ran up to them " my king!" They all turned to him

His face showered with anxiety

" You have to come see this" he said softly.

The king and rico rushed back to the tribe, only to be welcomed by a crowd of devastated gatherers.

One of the women walked up to the king holding a basket of oranges and other sorts of fruits. " My king" she bowed.

"Rise " the king commanded.

She took one of the oranges and unpeeled it, it was rotten until its core.

" My King " she began " the forest birthed nothing but dying fruits since we began seeking for them early this morning"

" If so, I will inform the hunters to evade the jaguars from their abodes, so you gather fruits from there "

" But my king, this fruits are from the jaguar's abode "

" Were the hunters with you?"

" There were not a need this time, for there were no sight of the jaguars, or any predators"

" What !" The king was shocked, but how come the fruits are dying? He asked himself, it was a season of rain, a season for all crops to rejoice. But in this case, its the opposite, why?
