"are you serious?" iris yells at me from across the kitchen as she gets a dr pepper out of her fridge. "actually, i don't care if you are, i don't have to listen to you!"
"i'm sorry i care about you." i reply angrily, iris rolling her eyes and slamming the can onto the counter.
"well maybe you shouldn't." she spat. "i'm surfing again, chris, and you're not stopping me!"
"iris, you're going to get yourself killed. you were dead, i had to bring you back to life. i'm not doing that again!" i yelled, iris scoffing and looking at me in disbelief.
"it's insane that you say that because i don't recall asking to be saved!" she screamed, and i hear footsteps behind me as moonie, nick, and matt come downstairs.
"would you please stop yelling?" moonie asks, and iris shoots me a glare, grabbing her keys off the counter and walking toward her garage door.
"where are you going?" i ask, not yelling anymore but my voice is still raised.
"none of your damn business." she replied flatly, and i shake my head.
"iris, come on, don't be like that." matt says, and iris shakes her head.
"i don't even know who he is, i don't have to tell him shit." she says quickly, not waiting for a response from anyone before opening the door and slipping through it, slamming it shut behind her.
i couldn't move, i was frozen.
