Jordan (POV)
Robert left out of the house last night because he said he had to take care of some business. I headed to the shower and just take a quick one. I walked back down stairs and make some breakfast I made breakfast because Robert can walk in the house any min being hungry. about 30 min later he walked in and sat on to the sofa.
"Robert where the hell where u , I was worried sick about you" I said
"I'm sorry baby, I just got cought up with some stuff and I have a lot on my mind" he said patting the seat
"What happened" I said sitting down next to him
"It's my mom" he said
"Robert just say it" I said
"Jordan she has cancer and she doesn't have a lot of time to live I just found this out after I was taking care of my business from last night, and I went straight to the hospital" he said
"Are u serious" I said staring into space
"I just wanna get some rest and get my mind off things" he said
"Ok I'll be down stairs watching t.v" I said
2 hours had gone by and Robert had waken up. Me and him haven't said nothing to each other all day long. I figured that it's about his mother. I walked up the stairs and I over heard him talking on the phone with someone.
"Bruh I don't think I can take any of this drug dealing shit any more" he said through the phone
"Man I don't know it's like my mom has cancer and she don't have enough time to live and I have a girl that I really love" he said again
"Ray and the other boys in jail" he said
"Was abusing a girl and raping her and treating her like a slave" he said
"Alright thanks bro, glad you understand bye" he said hanging up
I hurried up and ran back down stairs and act like nothing happened. I was happy that's he's quiting what he was doing and giving his job up for me and mother.
