Chapter 5 The quest is starting

After breakfast I followed the Athena kids to the sword fighting arena and Annabeth showed me the shed with all the weapons I could use.

'Try this one' she said picking up a long sword.

I picked it up.

'Uh, this one's a little to heavy,'

'no problem. Here try this,'

She kept giving me things, but each thing was ether to heavy, to light, to long or I couldn't hold it. She handed me a knife. I swung it around a couple of times, thinking it was good, but it flew out of my hand in to the wall right beside Annabeth.

'Sorry,'

'No problem but this is strange, none of the weapons are working for you, wait a moment'

She went through the box until she grabbed on to something.

'I found it! This is perfect for you.'

She handed me a dice.

I looked at her.

'Uh, Annabeth that's a dice.'

'I know. An Apollo kid enchanted it to turn in to the perfect weapon for the fighter to use, nobody's been able to use it but I think you will be able to.'

'Why has no one been able to use it?'

'Well, we think that he enchanted it to only work for someone that nothing else works.'

'You think.'

'Well, he died soon after her made it,'

'He Died!'

'From a battle, not a curse.'

'Ok, I'll take it.'
I took the dice from Annabeth and rolled it, it landed on a 3 and it turned in to a blue knife.

'Wow. Let's go do some knife play!'
'Let's go!'
Annabeth taught me how to use the knife, until we had to go. I threw the knife up in the air, and as it came down it turned back into the dice.

We went to the archery rang and I flipped the dice again, this time it landed on a 2 and turned in to a bow.

After practicing me and Annabeth went to cabin 1 while the others went to go look at the giant ship that I had not seen yet. As we walked towards Zeus cabin, I told Annabeth about my dream. Annabeth said nothing, until I was finished.

'They nominated Percy as praetor.'

'Yes'

'Ok, now it might be easier to get him, if he says not to knock us down, then we should be good.'

We picked up Jason then went to the ship. When we got to the ship I gasped,

'WOW! The ship is amazing!'

There was a bronze dragon head at the mast at the ship was at least 200 feet long.

'Super good craftsmen's ship as well.'

'Well, thank you'

Leo popped his messy head out from underneath the ship.

'You made this!'

'Yes, with help from everybody but I designed it.'

'It looks awesome.'

"Well, we better get looking at those controls if we want to get there by tomorrow.'

Jason left, and we followed Leo up, to the control room, there were buttons everywhere and, in the middle, was a Wii remote. Leo walked towards the remote.

'Is the Wii the main control for the whole ship?'

'uh, ya it is, how'd you know that?

'Well, Hephaestus spent most of his time in the garage and I joined him sometimes.'

'Cool'

We learned all the controls, then left the ship to grab are things. When we got backed to the ship Piper, Jason, Leo and a satyr that looked like it would kill somebody for a cupcake were waiting for us. Before we reached them Annabeth told me who the satyr was.

'The satyr's name is Coach Hedge. Just to let you know, he caries a baseball bat wherever he goes and yells ''Die!' and ''Kill Them'' a lot.'

'Thanks,'

We walked over to where they were standing.

'Hi!'

Coach Hedge came over,

'I'm Coach Hedge. Your name?'

'I'm Jazz Chase, nice to meet you'

'You to'

We got onboard and Leo showed us are rooms, each designed for the person who was staying there. When I saw my room, I was surprised to see so much stuff in there already, there were posters of Greek gods, a desk, and a bunk bed. I looked at Leo.

'How'd you mange to get everything in here in one night?'

'While I asked Annabeth to do it since, you know, she's your sister.'

'Aww, thanks Annabeth.'
'No prob, Leo we better get this ship in the air'

'On it'

He left and Annabeth sat down on the bottom bunk, I sat down next to her.

The ship started to waver, and then we were up.

Me and Annabeth chatted for awhile until Leo's voice came from some where in the ship calling everyone for supper.

We all went into a room that had pictures of camp half-blood all over it. I gasped.

'Cool, hun,'

'Ya, this is so cool'

We sat down for supper and a got the food the same way as camp half-blood.

After supper we all went into are cabins, and I fell asleep to the rocking of the wind-waves.
