First Meeting.

Caspian wasn't a good person. it wasn't his personality (sometimes) or his words, it was his actions..and thoughts.

He needed to be cleansed from everything. He had a lot to go through if he wanted to be pure. a saint. unstoppable.

BUT he doesn't care about any of that stuff. He especially doesn't care for people who dislike his actions and thoughts. If anything, he hated THEM for hating his choices and lifestyle. There wasn't much to judge, was there?

He was most likely in denial about all of his habits and all of the bullshit he drives people to think about him.

But that's a story for another day..

Today was the day. Not the day caspian finally decided to stop being absolutely horrible, but the day he's finally being sent to refinement school. It's called Vespen hills, or he thinks that's what it's called.

He sighed as he put his uniform on and left out of the house. His piercings glistening because of the sun, and his black hair with velvet tips really made him stick out like a sore thumb. Yet, that's what people liked most about him. His appearance. It was pleasing to the eye, even if he himself wasn't a very pleasing person.

Lo and behold, the academy he will spend the next 4 years withering away at. Which is unfortunate. He checked his phone to see what time it was and when orientation was starting, and saw that it was starting soon. He won't be there, though. He'll be anywhere but there. ANYWHERE but there.

DOMINIC POV

Dominic was already partially at the academy, but he made his way there at a slow pace. Because he too, did not want to be there.

Though, he still made it there to not be late. He looked around. So many people .. too many people. he tightened his grip around his bag and sighed. He hates when there are a lot of people in a single place.

He carefully brushed his hair back a little and took small breaths before wandering off around campus and trying to find somewhere else to be.

Fortunately he found somewhere. Some place. something. a tree to be exact. and a boy lingering around the same tree. He hesitated before approaching it, but eventually did get to the tree.

Neither of them said a thing to each other for a while. Until dominic said something, surprisingly. "are you smoking weed? RIGHT now?" he cowardly asked.

"I might be."

"Oh, so you're the stoner type. Explains why you're here." he then bluntly and quite rudely said. "but, i don't blame you for smoking. it helps you see your current reality a little differently." caspian smirked as he heard a stranger indirectly admit to also smoking. "are you a stoner too?" he then questioned.

Dominic rolled his eyes as he heard the question. "I wouldn't say i am, nor would i say i'm not." he didn't give a direct answer, which made caspian curious. who could be the person behind such confusing words?

"I wanna see what you look like . Step to the front." he said, but it sounded more like a demand. "that's...an intimidating sentence." dominic replied back while he did as told.

caspian stared at the boy nearing the corner of his eye and chuckled. "You don't look like how i imagined you. You're pretty."

"and you're something i dislike — straight forward strangers."
"You'll learn to endure me. don't worry."

Dominic scoffed before he tried going back to his side of the tree. "what's your name though?" caspian threw another question at him. "Dominic, and yours?"

"Caspian."

...

"i like that name."
"i like yours more."

The two boys had went quiet by the time they realized they both complimented each other at the same time. It had taken them both aback but got completely different reasons.

The moment of silence was odd yet relieving, only because they were practically strangers. "so, are you going to attend orientation soon?" dominic asked him. "i dunno. you?" dominic shrugged. neither of them had plans. they just wanted to have their dorms assigned to they could go about their business .

"So, can i have your number?" caspian asked him suddenly. The ash blonde boy was intrigued at this point. "do you go around asking every stranger for their number?"

caspian rolled his eyes and then proceeded to scoff. "I only give my number to pretty boys like yourself."

"big talk for someone who's baked out of their mind right now."
"do you think so?"
"i'd like to confidentiality say i KNOW so."

The two snickered at one another before dominic finally caved and gave caspian his number. "What exactly do you need my number for?" there he goes again, with the endless questions. "Nothing, if i'm being honest. just trying to get to know you."

It's funny how someone you just met could already want to get to know you. but, that's how the world works sometimes. or.. all the time, occasionally.

"That's — ... interesting. i'll take note of your interest in me." is what the ash blonde muttered up after a while of giving no reply. "my interest in you is piqued." caspian responded casually. "and why is that?"

There was no answer for that. and he didn't bother to think of one either. he just felt like he needs to get closer to dominic, for some reason. though, he said the first thing that came to mind .

"...because i like blondes...?" he said, unsure of himself. dominic could hear how he was unsure or his response within his voice and tone. "Well. now you have my number. if you'd excuse me, i'll be on my way now. i have to pick up my..schedules and stuff."

Caspians facial expression changed when he heard that the other had to go get his things, yet there was nothing he could do to salvage the conversation. didn't seem like either of them were good with strangers.

"Later, see you around blondie."

He watched as dominic walked away from the tree he was once leaning against. and at the corner of his lips, he smiled .
