Patrick turns to Elsie beside him, “I don’t think you even listen to Abba.” This was in reference to the Abba band shirt she was wearing with her skinny jeans.

   “Don’t you?” she said, amused “My top would suggest otherwise.”

   “Yeah but… I don’t think you listen to any of the bands whose shirts you wear.”

   “Do you have any proof?”

   “No.” Patrick conceded

   “Do you know what bands I do listen to?”

   “No. So… what? I’m not supposed to be able to judge anything about you be what you wear?” Elsie nodded. “It’s – I don’t know - a metaphor?”

    “It’s a metaphor. You’ve read –“

   “Of course I’ve read The Fault In Our Stars.”
