Man is condemned to be free- Jean-Paul Sartre
It only took a half an hour but we eventually reached and landed on the beach, each class in their own yellow boats each holding limited supplies to accommodate us for our next test.
L Hirata: First, let's go over what we already know. The school provided two tents that each sleep eight, so we have some shelter. Two flashlights, one box of matches, backpacks and amenities for everyone in class and sunscreen for anyone that wants it.
After noticing our very limited and basic supplies the girls were quick to look worried and become panicked.
Kushida: A whole week with only the basics?
After looking over the supplies even the boys seemed a bit worried, but not as much as the girls were.
Ike: A survival test on a desert island? For real?
Looking around our class the only calm faces were of course mine, Kiyone, and Koenji. Though one would say his face was more smug then calm. We were then given a book that explained what our test was supposed to be, Hirata being the de facto leader of the class decided to read allowed what we were supposed to do.
Hirata: So we have to find our food. A test of survival outdoors, ending at noon one week from now.
Yamauchi was quick to try's and raise everyone's spirits by pointing out some positives.
Yamauchi: But remember what the teachers told us? We can still go swimming, have barbeques and all that other fun stuff.
But his idea was quickly shot down by Hirata.
Hirata: No, we can only do that if we spend the 300 S-points they gave us, which would be a waste considering from what we could buy; food, drinking water and tools to cook with!
Yamauchi: So you aren't going to buy those things?
Hirata: Look, if we have any S-points left at the end of the test, then they'll be added to our class' total points score.
Ike: If we can tough it out for a week, we'll get 30,000 a month! 30,000 guys!
Kei: What's that?
Hirata: A list of things we could lose points for. Illness and serious injuries. Pollution of the surrounding environment. Absence at morning and evening roll calls. Violence against or stealing from other classes.
Kei: But we can't gain more points, can we?
Hirata: Yes. There are certain spots around the island we can claim as our own and get bonus points.
It seemed the teachers were making the theme of this test freedom of choice. Will we use our points to make our new wildness life easier? Or will we save said points and make our school life easier?
Looking around I notice Kiyone and Suzune chatting with each other. By the way their lips were moving they were discussing the same thing. But I was interrupted by the feeling of someone staring at me.
Turning around I look over and see a petite lilac haired girl with a beret and a walking stick staring at me a smirk on her face. This girl was Arisu Sakayanagi, a girl I had the displeasure of meeting back on the boat.
Flashback
Currently I was going through the boats library looking for anything to read both as a way to cure my boredom and a way to escape Ichinose and the three idiots, as I'm sure the latter have never seen the inside of one in their lives and don't plan on it any time soon, and the former I just hope doesn't like to read.
