Y/n's POV:

The exhilaration of Connor's winning goal still pulsed through my veins as I watched him celebrate with his teammates. Their shouts of triumph echoed through the arena, a testament to their hard-fought victory. After the game, I made my way to the locker room to congratulate the boys on their stellar performance. As I exchanged high-fives and pats on the back with the team, I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for Connor and his teammates. As the crowds began to disperse, I found myself walking alongside Connor, a sense of excitement bubbling between us. Tonight, I would be staying with him, and the prospect filled me with a mix of nerves and anticipation. With a quick goodbye to my dad, Connor and I made our way to my car. The playful banter continued as we argued over who would drive, each of us insisting that the other take the wheel. Eventually, Connor's swift maneuvering led him to my car first, and he graciously opened the door for me with a flourish."Thank you, kind sir," I teased, laughter dancing in my eyes as I settled into the passenger seat."M'lady," Connor replied with a mock bow before taking his place behind the wheel. With a smile, I watched as he started the car, the engine rumbling to life as we embarked on the journey to his house.Upon arriving, Connor gallantly offered to carry my suitcase, leading the way up to his room with a playful grin. As he showed me around, I couldn't help but admire the cozy space that I had only ever seen through our FaceTime calls."This is the room," he announced with a hint of pride, and I nodded in approval, a smile playing on my lips."Nice," I remarked, bouncing onto his bed with childlike enthusiasm. The soft mattress enveloped me in comfort, and I couldn't resist kicking off my shoes and wriggling my toes against the plush fabric. As the evening stretched on, Connor and I settled in for a cozy movie night, the dim glow of the TV casting a warm ambiance across the room. The decision of what to watch sparked a playful debate between us, with Connor suggesting a scary movie to add a thrill to our night."Nooo," I protested with a mock shiver, "I'm scared.""But nothing's going to happen," Connor reassured me, his gaze warm and comforting as he looked at me. Blushing at his words, I turned away slightly, feeling a flutter of butterflies in my stomach."Fine," I relented with a playful pout, snuggling closer to Connor as he wrapped his arm around my waist. Leaning my head against his chest, I felt the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath my ear, a soothing melody that lulled me into a sense of peace and contentment.
