Chapter 2: A normal shift at the library or was it a café?

Y/N's pov:

Sweat dripped down my forehead as I dashed to get open up my shop.

It was a mix of a library and a café me, Alwin and lizzie decided to name our little shop:

'a cup tea and a book'.

We are so smart.

Speaking the shop I managed to make in time before my watch clicked half nine.
A man stood behind the counter sporting a pare of their signature reading glasses.

It was Alwin.

"Hey Y/N!" He called, his eyes not leaving the book, "You do know your what...two minutes and three seconds late?"

I glanced at my watch.

Oh yeap, it's broken. Two minutes behind.

Alwin laughed lightly and placed their book down, then lifting the glasses to rest on his head.

"Well, we'd better open up shop then!" He clapped. "Can't leave the regulars waiting!"

My legs carried my self over to the door and lifted the sign meaning that we where now open.
I then go behind the counter and prepare pre-made food and pre-made drinks, the put them on display.

One of my regular customers walked in, always comes in early and orders a mint tea.

But ah well time for another day at work.

I began to wipe a plate down that I picked up of a table, polishing it then putting it in the cupboard behind.

God the day was going by smoothly but slowly.

I did my book shift, sorting out new books and finding a place for them.
Most likely my house, if I can sneak it away >:).

But I can't wait for the end of the day.

As the 'club' was on, all it was was a few magic users in there and a singular human.

My ears picked up the sound of a bell ring, I glanced over to the door to see a women with pink hair, Cristal blue eyes as well as a few cats trailing in after her.
Plus a man with deep brunette hair and green eyes.

It was just Lizzie and Joal.
The married couple.

Joal goes to sit in a window seat while Lizzie began to walk over to me.

"Heya! How are you doing Y/N?" She asked.

"Just fine, still so tired from last night though I can really feel it."

With a laugh she goes on to say, "Well this time Joal fell asleep, so I was left to finish off by my self which was fine."

I nodded in understanding, "So whacha having? The usual then I do have a cake coming out in a sec? If you want that?"

She said yes then went to sit back down with her husband.

I began to make the drinks, then hear the bells go off again.
Looking to the dark oak door I see a women with poofy white hair and small ram horns which lay almost unseen beneath a pirate hat.

As they walked in their jaw was hung open, the scenery amazing them.
Or making them disgusted.

As I went back to making Lizzie and Joel's drinks they looked at me, and began to walk over in a confident fashion.

"Hello! Can I get a cup of tea? Also do you guys allow hybrids in here? J-just won-"

"Your fine." I said, "I saw your small sheep horns, to be honest we don't care just don't fight or stir shit up in here."

"Hah thanks!"

I poured Lizzies tea into a tea pot then placed it on a tray along with the cake.

"Just what's your name? So I can call you?"

"Car-Puffy, Captain puffy."

"Do you happen to pirate by any chance?"

"Used to be sometimes sail in summer though with my kids, my eldest is about 21 now."

"That's nice I'm around 21 myself. But anyways I'll be back in a minute"

Her head nodded then my body walked me over to deliver Lizzie and Joel's drinks and food.

In my best, probably my worst, posh accent, "Why here you go Madame and Sir, we hope you are satisfied."

We both began to laugh just a little a bit.

"But anyways here's your stuff. Also the 'club' is on tonight."

Joel gave me a thumbs up as I walked off.

I glanced at my watch, Almost at closing time, almost.

I fixed The women called puffy up a drink and talked for a while before they went to sit down.
Then went back to the usual work.

Alwin Pov:

Ah great I just finished organising the shelf, now if it gets messed up again I'm committing a crime.
Actually multiple I think.

But I left Y/N by the counter for most of today, I hope they haven't scared off any customers, they have a tendency to be a bit feral.

I began to walk back into the more of café area then spotted Lizzie and Joel.
They must have come early.

I mean last night was a full wolf moon.

Now, where are my reading glasses I need to finish my book.
Wait I should probably help Y/N pack up, but it is a good book and they've done it millions of times.

Woah where is Y/N?

I scanned the room for any sight of them, oh their just cleaning up a table.

Star child. :D

They seem to be in a better mood than this morning, must've been a customer or a miracle.

But they are tiding and they look happy sooo.

That means I can read my book, hehe.

Y/N's Pov:

OMG! OMG HEHEHE!

The sheep lady called Puffy asked if we wanna be friends and gave me a mail location.
Now I can say I have more than six humanoid friends.

I am just so amazing and special! ;D

With my hand I slip the note into my pocket and carry the tray containing dirty cutlery to the sink.

Turning around I see that everyone has left other than Alwin and the married people, and that two more people are arriving.

I guess it's time now the assemble the club together again.
