Staring at The Wall

"Do I really have to do these experiments" a deep, gruff voice spoke.

"Yea, you're the only person in the room who could handle being put through this amount of stress on the body." a slightly higher but equally rough voice responded.

The room consisted of wires and LED lights all over along with tables full of random equipment and chemicals. In front of all of the mess was a human-sized device with harness' in the front and a giant ring right behind it.

"Fine, but can we please get this over with I have soccer practice in a few hours." The first voice nagged.

"Whatever kid just let me strap you in this harness and I'll begin the startup procedures."

A 5'10 pale skinned man straps the (S/C) boy into the machine as he shifts slightly uncomfortably.

The man walks back to the main console in front of the mechanism and starts pressing buttons to initiate the start up sequence.

"Startup sequence is a go."

"Starting fluid tubes......Fluid tubes operational."

"Starting Reactor......Reactor operational."

"Starting Ring rotation........Ring is fully operational."

"Starting Portal sequence.......Portal Open, Destination: Unknown."

"Ready to transport."

The machine emits a loud whirring noise as wind blows into the Lab knocking the man at the console back slightly.

"This portal current is stronger than usual!" Yells over all the noise.

"Starting the transportation sequence!"

The portal ring slowly moves towards the boy in the harnesses consuming every part of his body.

The experiment seemed to be going well until the currents got strong enough to pick things up from the floor.

"What the Hell!" the man yelled as the machine started glowing brightly almost blinding him.

The only thing that could be heard after a few seconds was the whir of the portal, mechanical roars. Then, Brutal squelching noises and groans of pain were emitted. The noises came from the man from behind the console.
