The Second Chapter

I was reading as Ms. Tanner told us to, so when she said" Start writing!" I thought, Do I have to? But obediently, I did. I'm pretty sure she said this just to annoy me," Take out your ELA packet!" I almost lost it. I could tell Leon and Kataya thought so, too(though they hid it well). Never the less, we did it anyway.

You're probably making us out as goody two shoes, well if you are you're on the right track.

We zipped through the packet with ease. Finally, Ms. Tanner said," Get in a group of three and then check your answers!" Leon, Kataya, and I got together so fast you could barely see us. Kataya and I bumped our heads ever so slightly and silent giggles erupted.

Except for one wrong answer, they were all the same and right (or all wrong, but that is highly unlikely). So, Kataya got us a piece of paper (each) and we wrote and wrote and wrote. Sadly , we had go back to our seats make cards for a leaving teacher( that I'm very found of). I still put my best foot forward and our cards came out nicely.

Eventually, we lined up with our lunches to go to recess. ( No I'm not tripping, we just have recess, then lunch, then specials.) Unceasingly, our class was talking so over half of us(not Lkaphiane[ our ship name] mind you) had to stay on the blacktop for 10 extra minutes, while the rest of us went to play. Unless our teacher last year came, we just went to the zen den ( an overhang) to talk about our books.

I commented on Kataya's black button up collared shirt and yellow pants that I had never seen and thought it was strange for her to own such a bright color.

Then, we talked about our books, when an exceedingly strong wind came our way in pollen season and, It happened.
