Mullai went to the shop feeling very happy

He could see her Maaran's face..

A face she missed so much..

A face she thought she would never be able to see again..

A face she yearned to see just one more time..aasai theera..carve it in memory

But now she would see it everyday

She practically hopped and skipped her way to the mess that day

But she returned home that day disappointed

The next day she was hopeful again only to be disappointed again

This went on for a week

She was by then miserable

She did not know

Kathir was not even in Kunnakudi

He had gone to Kaaraikudi to oversee construction again

A conscious decision to stay away from her

He felt guilty for his lack of sensitivity

Now that he knew why she reacted the way she did on seeing him he felt bad for her..how difficult it must have been..to see someone with such a striking resemblance to her husband who was no more..

He also realised this was why she always made herself scarce whenever he went to the mess

He decided to let her be

And deciding this he volunteered to go to Karaikudi to oversee the super market construction

A week went by

Mullai was slowly losing it

She was unable to hold it together anymore

She tried staying back in the shop even after Aishu came..she tried coming early

The kids pestered her for a visit to the park

She ignored it

She missed giving them their evening bath

Dhanam was concerned

They bagged a big order from a college in Pudukottai

A 3 day fest

The college was hosting a science fest

And wanted to have food stalls

Pandian Mess was approached to see if they would like to put up a stall

It was Mullai who had seen a newspaper snippet calling for caterers interested in putting up a stall at this fest

This was even before Maaran's anniversary

But now Pandian Mess' application had been accepted

Everyone were overjoyed

But Mullai's reaction was lukewarm at best

Dhanam had been observing her the past few days

At home during dinner
