I was in my bedroom packing up the last of my stuff. It was seventy five degrees in Phoenix and the cloudless sky was blue.

I was going to miss this. The sun. The heat. The perfect weather.

In the northwest of Washington state, there is a small town named Forks under an endless cover of clouds.

My sister Bella and I will be moving there. That is where our dad, Charlie Swan, lives.

Our mother moved away from this town when my sister and I were little. My sister and I used to spend 2 weeks there every summer, until I was 12 and she was 14.

Bella stopped coming to Forks, but I would still visit.

The last time I was there was Christmas, 3 months ago, when I stayed there for a week.

I walked out of the house and into the car, sitting beside my sister.

"Bella, Amelia." Our mom spoke once we were about to get on the plane. "You don't have to do this."

Our mother looks like my sister Bella but with shorter hair, but I look more like our dad.

"We want to go." Bella lied.

I am excited to go but the real reason we are going is for our mom's happiness.

"Tell Charlie I said hi." She tells us.

"We will." I say.

"I'll see you both soon." She insisted. "You can come home whenever you want - I'll come right back as soon as you need me."

"Don't worry about us," Bella urged. "It'll be great. I love you, mom."

"I love you, mom." I said pulling her into a big hug.

She then went over and hugged Bella.

Bella and I then got onto the plane.

It is a four hour long flight from Phoenix to Seattle. It is then another hour in a small plane to Port Angeles. Then an hour long drive to Forks.

When we landed in Port Angeles it was raining.

Great.

"Do you think Charlie will bring the cruiser?" Bella asked.

Dad is the Police Chief, and he's very proud of it, as he should be.

"Yes, he's very proud of it." I respond.

Surely enough, there dad was with the cruiser.

"It's good to see you Bells, Mia." He said smiling. "How's Renée?"

"Mom's fine. It's good to see you too dad." Bella said.

"Yeah, it's good to see you Dad." I said.

"Your hairs longer." Dad said.

"I cut it since last I saw you." Bella replied.

"Well it must have grown out again." Dad said awkwardly.

After that I just decided to drown out their conversation.

We soon arrived at Dad's house.

I ran out of the car and opened the trunk.

Dad chuckled as he and Bella got out of the car, and he came over to help us with the bags.

"I cleared some shelves for you in the bathroom." Dad said as he showed Bella her room.

I went straight to my room and set my bags down.

"I see you found your room alright." Dad said as he walked into my room.

"Yeah. Hey dad can I go over to La Push to see the Clearwaters later?" I ask.

Leah and Seth Clearwater are 2 of my best friends but because of the closeness in age, Seth and I are much closer.

I haven't seen them since Summer, since I didn't get the chance to see them over Christmas.

The Clearwaters are like my second family.

But I have always had a little crush on Seth.

"Sure, I don't see why not." Dad says.

"Thanks Dad." I say going over and hugging him.

"No problem." He says then leaves the room.
