Mermaids

Lorrie pov
We make it to the island safely as Jack ties the boat to the small mast on the peer. I watched the men get a big net spreading it in the water to catch something in them but I didn't know what.  I got on the peer by Jack helping me up there. Me, Jack, Angelica and Black beard  were looking around then Black beard said "we're gonna need light. A lot of light." We walked straight to the lighthouse up ahead, Jack helped me up the stairs to the lighthouse by holding my hand as I smile at him. "I love you, Jack." I told him with my heart, Jack smiles back at me and said in a whisper "I love you more, Darling. More than you will ever know." Once we made it inside the lighthouse, black beard had a torch so we can see in the dark.

One of Blackbeard's men said "smell that? Whale oil. Stuff burns like a miracle from God."
Black beard asks him "can you make it work?"
The men said "made by the English. Let's not get our hopes up." I watched as they turn the machine around a bit. Jack and I walked to the edge of the lighthouse, once I looked down from how high it was. I gasped as Jack holds me to calm me down. "Thanks Jack." I said as I tremble.
"You're welcome, love." He said
Angelica walks towards us and said "is she okay?"
Jack told her about my fear of heights and she understood.
Then Angelica said "the old moon in the arms of the new one. First of the summer. Perfect for hunting a mermaid's tear."
Now I realized what the nets are for. To catch a mermaid.

Jack pov
Me and my beautiful fiancé looked out at the waters where all the men in boats once the light has shone on them. "Jack? What's gonna happen to those men down there in the boats?" My beautiful girl asked me with curiousness in her voice.
"My love, they are gonna be attracted to them by the light. And I'm not sure." I told her with honesty.
So we continued to watch them from above, then we heard the men singing a song.
My girl noticed something in the water moving "Jack. Mermaids." She said with excitement
I smile at her
But then we heard one of the mermaids sing.

Lorrie pov
We go downstairs leaving the lighthouse. Once we saw the mermaids attack the men, my eyes widen. "Jack!" I said in fear
Jack holds me as we watch what happens then Black beard said "out upon it! It has begun!"
We watched as the men got tossed in the water since the boats are started to break from the mermaids attacking them.
Then I watched the other men light up barrels to throw them in the water to scare the mermaids.
But they drove the mermaids to the shore so the other men can catch one.  Which was I scared as I hold onto Jack tighter then some men are getting dragged into the water by seaweed web from the mermaid's hands.
Then Jack shouts "retreat, all to land! For your lives! Retreat, I say!"
I stayed with him as I watched the horror go on.
Then Jack notices some mermaids heading our way "oh my god!" I scream out but then the mermaids take the mast of the peer down as I suddenly fell down and got out of Jack's grasp.
"Jack!" I scream out as I climb up to him as I went to reach for Jack's hand, one of the mermaids web got me on my boot. As I gasp sharply, Jack suddenly got up and cuts the web off my boot and he helps me up.  Jack looks up at the lighthouse and he makes a run for it, but one of the mermaid's web got hold of Jack's sword.
I watched Jack carefully but one of the mermaids knocked him off his balance as I gasped. Then  he kicked the mermaid away as he continued up the stairs to the light house.  He hits the oil with a big paddle and the oil all spills out onto the fire.  He jumped into the water as the lighthouse exploded. 

Jack pov
I'm underwater seeing the mermaids flee as I swim back to the surface.
Then I noticed we catched a mermaid as I get out of the water, walks to my girl. As she dries me off with a special towel. "Thanks love." I said to her
"You're welcome, Jacky." She said with a smile
