parte dos: Mistakes

Diego was walking with Vegas to the cafeteria, he couldn't help but stare at Vegas's features.
His dark curly hair shimmered in the sun and his dark eyes were mesmerizing.
But Diego made the mistake of staring for to long.Vegas saw and gave Diego a confused look,almost disgusted...

*Vegas  laughs nervously*

"Uh,, why were you looking at me like that dude?"

Diego stares in shock, almost as if he got shot.

"I- uh..."

He doesn't know what to say, so he pushes Vegas and laughs at him.

"I don't know what you're talking about you fucking loser."

..that was a close one, i didn't know what to say...

Diego gets in line with Vegas and waits to get a tray.As they wait two girls come up to Vegas and ask him if he's dating anyone.
Diego gets annoyed, he looks at Vegas...
He seems uncomfortable, he wants to step in and punch the girls in the face but he doesn't want to get in trouble so he just looks the other way.
A couple moments later the girls leave, Vegas pulls out his phone and plays some music on his airpods.Diego wants to start a conversation but he doesn't know how.
As they enter the milk area another one of their friends cut in line, it's Roel.
They don't know Roel much but he's hung around for sometime, the only way they know each other is because he skates.
Immediately Roel and Vegas start talking, Diego gets a bit jealous but he doesn't think to much of it...
....Until....
Vegas starts laughing with Roel, he wants to know what's so funny..why is he so happy with him, they barely know each other?
Diego can't do much so he just ignores them and plays on his phone.
Diego grabs his food and makes his way to the table they usually sit at.He takes a seat and waits for Vegas.
They start eating and Diego shows Vegas a TikTok

"Oh....word."

Vegas mumbled
It doesn't seem like he was all that interested in Diego.That made him worry, he doesn't show Vegas another TikTok again that day.Lunch ends and they walk back to the main building.
As they are walking Roel catches up with them and starts talking to Vegas.

"So I was going to go to the skate park after school, i brought my board..you wanna come?"

"Yeah sure!"

Diego rolls his eyes

"You wanna come Diego?"

Roel asks.
Diego nods his head without saying a word, he doesn't want to talk to Roel.

They enter the building and Go to their classrooms.Diego waits for the bell so he can go out for break, the bell rings and he grabs his stuff to go outside.He waits by the door for Vegas,but Roel is with him.His mood changes and he walks ahead of them.
Vegas noticed that Diego didn't seem to happy that Roel was tagging along so he told Roel to go somewhere else.
Vegas walks faster to catch up with Diego.
They sit down at some steps far away from everybody else.

They stay quiet for a bit until Vegas breaks the silence with a question,

"Are you okay?"

Diego pauses and turns his head at Vegas

"Why do you care.."

What the hell was that kind of question?
Of course I care I'm you're best friend...what's his problem...!?!?

"You seemed upset, do you want to talk about it?"

Diego scoffed and looked at the concrete steps,he felt how cold they were...

"You wouldn't care..."

Diego didn't know how to tell Vegas how he was feeling, he didn't want to make a big deal out of something so small...

"Listen Diego...i know something is up and i want to fix that problem....please just tell me.."

Vegas's voiced cracked, almost like he was choking back tears.
Diego looked up at Vegas's eyes,

"I don't know dude, it just seems like we're growing apart...I mean you seem way more interested in Roel than me..."

Vegas's eyes widened and he laughed.His laugh stopped abruptly by Diego's stare.

"Sorry...but uh...I'm not replacing you dude...i promise...how about this....you come home with me after we go to the park do we can hang out?Just you and me?"

Vegas smiled softly and shuffled closer to Diego..
Diego looked at Vegas and smirked.

"Okay...but won't you're mom be mad that I'm Coming over suddenly?"

Vegas shrugged his shoulders.
They both shared a laugh and the bell rang.
They carried on with the rest of their day until it was time to go home.
Diego looked for Vegas and Roel, they agreed to go to the corner store to but some snacks and the. Head over to the park.
