Chapter 4: Oofsville

Ben sat in the Rust Bucket with Rook. It had been a long and confusing day, and he needed a rest. They had just learned that their new friend had come from a different time period, and that he was likely from another universe. They had done extensive research into Captain America, and found absolutely nothing. No information could be pulled from any old files or the internet. Their only explanation for Bucky was that he'd come from another universe entirely, and found himself in theirs due to some space-time anomaly.
Ben knew a thing or two about inter-dimensional travel. He'd had firsthand experience with it, having found a dimension traveling smoothie shop with Blukic and Driba once before. He knew the two alien buddies had some knowledge of the subject, having helped repair the machine that made the traveling possible. But he couldn't completely count on them knowing how to replicate the process successfully.
"What are your thoughts?" Asked Rook, suddenly breaking the silence.
"On what?" The kid replied. He felt like melting into a huge Ben-sized puddle.
"Well, I simply would like to know whether you think we will be able to get Bucky back to his world."
"I don't know, Rook. Blukic and Driba, while being smarter than any human, are stupid by Galvan standards. It seems like he might be stuck here. And with the Galvans being captured... we have a lot to do, Rook. It's just been tough."
"Understandable." He answered. "You have been quite overwhelmed with working overtime at Plumber headquarters recently. You might need to rest a while."
"I can't rest. Khyber is still out there, and, if I make the wrong move, something bad could happen."
Rook understood this, and remained silent awhile. There was no good, let alone easy, solution for their problem.

Meanwhile, I laid in my bed, contemplating my own predicament. I couldn't believe what was happening to me. Depending on the experience of their scientists, I could be in a lot of trouble. I stared down at my hand, sighing deeply.
I wondered what had happened to Cap. He'd been shoved off the rocket, but I didn't see anything else because of the flash of light.
The room was empty aside from me. I felt even more alone, though, than just the empty room made me feel. I had to get back to Cap. I had to make sure he made it.
I grumbled, trying to bury my head into the fluffy pillow. It seemed to sink down when exerted upon with enough force. Soon, my face was half covered in the squishy, soft surface.
I heard the door open, and resurfaced. In the doorway stood four people. Max (Ben's uncle), Ben, and two others. One was a red-haired lady in a school uniform of sorts, and the other was a lean, pale, dark-haired young adult man in ragged, dark clothes.
"Bucky," Max spoke first, "this is Gwen and Kevin. They're a valuable part of our team. They, Gwen specifically has come to help." The red headed girl waved. "She has experience with..." he cleared his throat, "magic." He finished.
I sighed. Magic, ghosts, and aliens. This was gearing up to be one heck of a time.
