Chapter 19: Past 8

“WHAT??”

The fat man climbed down in his naked glory making the intruder to divert his eyes somewhere else...bright took this chance to put his pants back and cover himself with the blanket..

“Yes sir..all of them are dead...” the intruder said sweating bullets..

“How? Who did it?”

The man shaked his head in denial..

“We don’t know sir...no one was alive when we reached the place..and it was a clean kill..everyone had a bullet straight through the head..”

The man and bright both gasped..for bright this all things were new..killing? murdering??

Bright wanted to get up from this nightmare..

“Go find out..who did this..and report to me as soon as possible...he must have not flee far off...find that bastards...”

The intruder nodded his head and ran out...the ugly man grumbled something which bright didn’t understand..

The man put on his clothes back and turned to bright..

“You...our business is not over...but you got lucky that now i will be busy..so take rest..you will be needing it soon..” the man said licking his lips..

The man stroded out..and bright kicked away the blanket..

“This is it..this is my chance..i should take mew and escape!! I will not get this chance again!!”

Bright jumped of the bed and ran outside..but he stopped at the doors when he the hall way was heavily guarded..

He needed a distraction..but what??

Bright hid behind a big pillar and peeked at the big men standing outside..he noticed a vase near the other room’s door.. an idea clicked in his mind..he took his slipper that he was wearing and aimed at the vase discreetly…it was a shot..the vase fell and the men moved towards it..bright slowly creeped out and dashed towards mew’s room..

Thankfully there was no one standing in front of his room…he quickly got in and closed the door locking it..

Mew who was eating an apple looked shocked..

With a mouthful he asked..”What happened phi? Are you okay?”

Bright scurried towards mew and held his face..”Mew this is our chance…we need to escape now!!”

Mew hearing this his eyes widened..

“But why phi??”

“This are very bad people mew…they will hurt you…do you trust your phi??”

Mew held the hands which were holding his face and smiled lightly..

“More than my life!!!”

“Good…so get up..can you do that..or should I carry you?”

Mew shook his head in denial..

“I am okay..i can walk on my own..”

“okay good…lets go!!”

Mew and bright walked towards the door an slowly opened it…he looked behind mew and signaled him with an affirmation nod..mew held brights hand tightly and slowly they started walking out..

Once In a while if they notice someone they will hide themselves again but they would be very discreet while moving…

Soon they found the main door…

“There it is mew…we are finally free..lets go!!”

Mew smiled and both started running towards it..

Bright smiled with happy tears…finally they will be free….he will be free from the torture..

But all of a sudden they were blocked by huge men and a dreadfull voice echoed behind..

“Going somewhere???”

Dread consumed in brights mind…he didn’t wanted to look back..but he knew he is finished…hw feared for himself but more he feared for mew’s safety..he gathered mew in his embrace..

He looked behind and a sob left his mouth…he saw the dirty men holding his one slipper in his hand and twirling it…bright felt the slipper was mocking him..his own slipper betrayed him…

“Please!!..please..let us go…we are children..we are no use to you…please spare our life..please..” bright begged crying..

Seeing his phi crying tears formed in mew’s eyes as well..he looked back at the man and thought how bad are these guys for phi to fear like this…

‘I hope they are nothing like the people who raised him!!!’ mew thought…a chill ran his spine remembering the scenes that he had faced in past…bright sensing the shaking of mew held him more tighter..

“What did I tell you?? Hmmmm?? If you tried to escape there will be consequences right??? Didn’t you understand my any words huh boy??” the ugly man said while walking towards him..

Bright tried to back away with fear but he was blocked by a huge man behind him..

As soon as bright looked in front again he didn’t have time to process when a tight slap had been given across his face which made him fall down..as mew was in his hold..mew also fell down with him..but before he touched the ground he made sure to cover mew’s head from hitting the ground..

Mew screamed with the sudden action…he tried to wiggle out…he saw his phi was bleeding…

“Phi…phi…!!” mew cried..

“I am okay” bright said weekly and smiled tightly..

“Ohh look at that what a caring brother!!!!huh!! pathertic!!!”

The man came forward and held brights hair and pulled him up to his face..

“I said you will have to pay right..now it is time!!”

Bright screamed to be let gone…in this while his hold on mew was gone and mew was left behind..

Mew was shock to see this brother treated like this…but as he saw his brother being taken away he scurried from the ground and ran behind the man..

“No!!..phi…ley go of my brother…let go of him..phi!!!!”

Mew cried and his small fists kept on hitting on the hands of the man that held brights hair..

But soon they reached the room and bright was thrown inside..
