Long Lost

Theena and Athena

"WAKE UP SUNSHINE!"

Jack yelped and fell off the couch in surprise, and a howling Miko stood over him, tears coming out of her eyes.

"Oh god..." She snickered, collapsing onto the couch.

"Miko!" Jack sighed, rubbing his blue eyes and standing up. "Where's Raf?"

"He went home." She replied with a shrug. "His mom called and said he needed to up his game in school."

Jack groaned a second time and threw himself beside Miko.

"Again?"

Miko nodded and propped her legs onto the table.

It's been two weeks since Theena Parker enrolled in Jasper High, and she and Miko began talking a bit.

"She seems okay." The Japanese girl mused, looking at Jack. "I mean, she's into all kinds of music."

"She reminds me of one of those stereotypical girls who is so perfect but they hide it." Jack commented.

"YOU STALK HER?!"

"NO MIKO!"

"THAT RHYMES!!"

"SERIOUSLY?!"

"Cut the volume!" Rachet snapped, glaring at the two human children.

"Sorry Rachet." Jack muttered sheepishly.

Ironhide walked in then, nodding in greeting at the three present in the main room before transforming and driving off.

"Is it me or is Ironhide always out of base?" Jack asked, resting his arms behind his head.

"Ironhide is an independant bot." Rachet grumbled. "He likes to be alone."

"Yeah, after we lost someone." A new voice added from the hallway.

"You had more bots!?" Miko cried, whirrling around to stare at the femme. "Why didn't you tell us?!"

"Because she perished on Cybertron." Arcee replied shortly, walking in, Bulkhead following her close behind.

"Athena." Rachet sighed. "She was a great femme, a strong warrior too."

"I've never met her." Bulkhead admitted sheepishly.

"She and Ironhide had a strong bond." Arcee recalled. "You would think he marked her..."

"Marked?" Jack frowned.

Rachet sighed in frustrastion.
"When a mech lays eyes on a femme he knows he will love for the rest of his life, they murmur a Cybertonian "spell", if you will, and an invisible mark of a certain battle trait and of marking will appear on her shoulder and chassis."

"I have courage." Arcee input, showing the barely visible mark on her shoulder servo and the mark of a soulmate on her chassis. "And Athena had wisdom and the mark of a soldier."

"She's that good?" Bulkhead asked in disbelief.

"She's the daughter of a Prime you Dumbass." Miko scoffed.

"Language!" Jack called.

"Yeah yeah, we don't need another Rachet here Jackson."

"You could sit with us." Miko told the girl beside her.

Theena shrugged shyly and nodded before she was dragged over to where a raven haired boy with blue eyes was sitting with a younger boy who had brown hair and brown eyes.
