Forbidden Love's Fruit: The daughter of a human and a mermaid

Chapter I - The incident.

"Sereia, wake up" I open my eyes to see my younger sister, Marielle poking me while her seahorse, Sezia followed her around. "What do you want, Marielle?" I said sleepily. "Mother says that we're about to leave for the inspection," she answered. "What inspection?" I said as I swam to my vanity. "The new kelp forest? Mother said she wanted to check it out with You, Raen, Grandfather, and a few guards" she responded. "Okay, tell mom I'll be there in a moment" I replied, I smiled at Marielle before she left my chamber. 

I tied my hair in a low ponytail with a ribbon and cleaned my face. I went out of my chamber and looked around the palace for Raen. After looking for a while I saw them at the gates about to leave. "Wait for me!" I said as I rushed to swim to the gates. "Good morning, Grandfather, and mother. Forgive me for I was late" I mentioned embarrassingly. "Oh no no, you're just in time, we were just about to leave." My mother, Attina replied. We walked along the sea sand while my mother and grandfather led the way. "What took you so long?" Raen said playfully as he hit my back gently. "I overslept, Raen. It's only this one time" I assert. "Yeah whatever, whatever~," he said sarcastically. I still refuse to believe that he was going to be the next king. I looked up and we saw a large kelp forest towering over us. "This is it! We should start to get kelp as winter will come by soon." My mother announced. I saw my grandfather nod to the palace guards, they saw the command and rushed into the kelp forest to cut off the kelp. We soon followed in the forest when we saw that the heavy kelp cleared out. 

"We'll have good stock for the kingdom this upcoming winter!" My mother excitingly said. My grandfather nodded in approval. We knew that winter was an extremely hard time for the kingdom because everything was freezing and most foods were too hard to get. We watched as the guards chopped down kelp and threw it into the wagon. Raen pointed at the red fog, fog? There isn't any red fog. I thought to myself. "Blood..?" Raen managed to utter with his quivering lips. My grandfather noticed the green aura surrounding the blood. "Sirens. GET OUT THERE ARE SIRENS!" My grandfather yelled in pure terror. My grandfather rushed to swim in the fog with his spear. "Mom, what's happening?" I cried. My mother displayed her sharp teeth and claws and stood in front of us, her back facing us. "I'll explain later at home, for now. Take Raen and swim away. "But ma-" Raen protested. "Not now, Raen. Don't tell this to your sister." She said still covering us in a protective manner. "Swim." In fear, I took Raens arm and swam back to the kingdom. I commanded the elite guards to look for mother and grandfather. When I mentioned sirens, they took their weapons and did not hesitate to run into the kelp forest. "Please be okay.." I whispered looking outside.
