"Kotetsu Tekko, Steel Hashira!"

Kotetsu Tekko is Hashira from manga named "Demon Slayer: The New Era". His teacher (sensei) was Gyomei Himejima,  the Stone pillar who sadly died during the final battle in KIMETSU NO YAIBA manga.

"... you probably heard about me. "Steel Pillar who was best Tsuguko of one and only Himejima Gyomei, and created his own breathing". Haha, I really am the best..."

Tekko was known as Himejima's best Tsuguko, after him comes Kesseki Rin who is also Himejima's student, and a Hashira.
After mastering Stone Breathing, Tekko forms a new breathing style which is Steel breathing, that was formed from Stone Breathing, and it is bit stronger. Although the steel may be stronger than stone, Tekko was never stronger than his Sensei.

"My sensei is the best person I've ever met and known. I always wanted to be as strong as him. But I do know one thing. No matter what... even if I somehow defeated Muzan myself... I will never surpass him."

Tekko didn't really had any family problems, nor did anyone in his family died. He decided to become a demon slayer since his father was friends with Gyomei, and Tekko was also interested in slaying demons.
After one year of training he meets Rin who was also one of Himejimas Tsuguko, he became really good friends with her. After being promoted as Hashira he got a gift from Gyomei, which was his haori he currently is wearing in the series. 2 months later his friend Rin became Hashira too.

"Sir? Why did you decided to become a demon slayer?
"Because  it's fun."
"Ehhh-"

BREATHING STYLE AND FORMS

Steel breathing has 5 forms and they are:

1. Form - Slash of steel

2. Form - Steel Skin

Form - Steel spikes

4.. Form - Melted metal

5. Form  - Golden sword

Let's take a better look on these forms:

1. SLASH OF STEEL

The user gains great speed and has clear view of opponent's neck, (which is demon in this case) and slashes the neck easily. This form works easy on lower ranked demons, and the non ranked (weaker) demons. Although on upper ranks this will only give the user better speed but definitely not a chance in beheading the demon.

2. STEEL SKIN

The user unleashes multiple attacks in same time, plus deflecting nearby attacks. These attacks are very strong, that the opponent might not handle the pain and eventually die. The chances of upperrank dying is very low, but it might slow down regeneration of demon, or doesn't allow demon to attack in limited time.

3. STEEL SPIKES

User's sword turnes little stones from ground to steel spikes that go in direction where user turns his sword to. Steel spikes are very sharp and can cause bit damage. (It is like rain of steel spikes).
Although during the final battle, Tekko uses this form little bit different than usual which caused the spikes to be larger than their normal size.

4. MELTED METAL

User's sword heats up and the sword has flamish colors (red and yellow). This melts anything that touches the sword, including opponent's parts of body. However this can cause inner damage to organs to those who started working on this form. Tekko has mastered it so he doesn't have any damage, although in final fight it made his wounds hurt even more.

5. GOLDEN SWORD

Users sword becomes golden. It can't be destroyed by any weapon in that moment, and the sword is sharper than it was before. Soon as it slays the demons head the rest of the body fades quicker than usual. However, Tekko barely uses this form since it is the strongest, and can cause blurred vision and fainting. But it rarely happens to him, since he is the one who created this breathing technique.
