I am sorry for taking this long break but I need to take care of my academics as well so forgive me, everyone! I apologize for this absence. Let's see who Diana chooses as her mate. Max? or Leo?

Diana's POV:

It was six in the morning and I was up from 4 a.m. only. I am so stressed up about this mate thing that I couldn't sleep last night. I need to get over this soon but still, I found no way to distinguish between Leo and Max. I have faith in Moon Goddess but this is a big decision to make, any silly mistake, or any confusion can destroy my whole life. Mate isn't a joke and I am grateful that I have this opportunity of choosing it. Yesterday Max showed me my room, which has a queen-sized bed and is themed as calm as the ocean. I like whoever's taste it is. At least the room gives me a sense of calmness amidst of this situation. Max wanted to stay longer than he intended to but I think something was stopping him. His face was so down when he left me, it made me pout. I want him as my mate! He is so caring and loving. I took shower and as told by Leo there were some clothes in the wardrobe for me. At times like these my wolf, Sissy just goes to the back of my head. I want to talk to her but she isn't answering me. Finally, after several attempts, she resurfaces and talks to me. She told me she is also very much confused like me but she wishes Leo to be her mate. I couldn't understand why can't she see how hard Max is trying. Around 8 o'clock somebody knocked on the door, when I opened the door, I saw a really beautiful lady standing in front of me. She gave such a strong and positive aura; she must be some higher-ups here because I remember my mother used to be like this. Sh!t ! I forgot to get in contact with them, they must be in so much worry for me. The lady is Clara, she- gamma of Leo's pack. I am getting good vibes from here and I guess we will be good in the future.

I ask her whether I can make the phone calls because in our society of wolves' calls can be traced and we could be attacked at any time. This is the reason we rarely use technologies but this is a crucial time. Clara agrees to me and shows me Leo's office. Clara leaves me inside to give me privacy and analyze the room. It has a big wooden table with a dark brown colored coat over it. A handsome number of files are all over the place, some on the sofa placed in corner of the room and some harshly shoved inside the glass almirah of the office. Besides the alpha table, a small table is there where many files are kept over each other in a very haphazard way. Alphas shouldn't be a mess. They should be neat because they are the role models of the pack. Young little pups and growing wolves learn from their alphas. Keeping aside all the mess, the room is grey-colored with nothing on the walls and no motivation. How can a person work in such an environment?

I began liking Leo when I first encountered him in the hospital room but seeing how he keeps his room and all-important files and the way he conducts himself, I am beginning to dislike him. However, I make the phone call, and the Alpha of Stone pack, Mr. Alonso picks up the call. "Hello, Alpha! Diana this side." Beta and Alpha always have a great bond, as do their children and the other half. I was trained by the Alpha himself and he always told me stories about how the Moon Goddess thought of making another half for us. "Hey, Diana! How did you land in Moonlight Pack? Are you ok?" "Yes Alpha, I am absolutely fine. Can I talk to you regarding something?" Only Mr. Alonso can give me the right advice at this point. "My sweetheart, you can ask me anything, go ahead." "The thing is I was caught in moonlight pack as a rogue when I was passing by but then I found my mate here, but this isn't the problem. The problem is they are twins and I feel a mate bond towards both of them. We talked to the pack elders and they told me to choose anyone without interfering with my personal feelings. But this is tough not even my wolf is responding; she is under huge stress." "Sweetheart this type of confusion happens because they have a twin bond and even if you choose anyone you will still feel a slight bond for the other one. Trust the Goddess and your feelings. Do whatever your heart says. Moon Goddess never makes the wrong decision, she must have paired you with someone worth you." "Thank you so much Alpha. I'll end the call. I will surely give you all the information."

Phew! This is why I wanted to talk to him. Other than my father he is the only one who can calm me and all his suggestions are useful. Now, all I need to do is to trust myself and Moon Goddess. I open the door and Clara offers me a genuine smile. "Had a good conversation with the family?" I nod slightly and start following her. We enter a huge dining hall where beta, gamma, the alphas, and other pack members are seated. Most of them are leaving but both the alphas are waiting for me. Clara sits beside Rheo and I sit between Leo and max. Max offers me a kind smile and asks me whether I had a good night. I nodded and headed towards the breakfast. I had two omelets and it was great having something eaten. I forgot how good food tastes. Leo continues giving me cold looks. I was taking my glass of juice when it slipped my hand and that moment Leo saved me from getting hurt by the glass pieces. I am getting more confused now. First, he shows interest, then he turns cold towards me and then he saves me. Leo gets hurt a little bit but is cured instantly. Max senses what happened and checks me for any external injury. Max is the kind of who expresses everything but I think Leo is just the opposite, he is a suppressor. Not only he suppresses his foes but also his feelings and emotions. This isn't good, alphas should be expressive. I don't know how this pack manages with this alpha.

Finally, I know who to choose. "Should we head to elders? Are you ready Diana?" Max asks me politely and I nod in response. We head towards the meeting room where elders were sitting but this time all the pack members were also present there. Seeing such a large crowd after days of isolation panicked me. Leo notices my discomfort and puts a hand on my back, though he had a cold look he often tried showing me his soft gesture. Such a small gesture gives me a sense of comfort. "So what is your decision Diana?" asks one of the elders, pulling me out of my thoughts. I take a deep breath and let it out. Moon Goddess correct me if I am wrong. "I choose Max as my mate," I inform the crowd and Sissy, don't know for what reason howls sadly. Aren't wolfs happy to have their mates?

"Are you sure?" asks Max with utter disappointment. Why is he sad? Doesn't he want me as his mate? "Max, do you accept Diana as her mate?" asks one of the elders directing his question toward.... Leo? "I need some time before accepting or rejecting her. I need to talk to my wolf." Leo, I mean Max says eyeing me coldly. What have I done? Why didn't I ask their name? damn I just ruined my whole life.
