Finn asked, "How well... do you guys know your parents?"
Just in time, May's mother walked towards them and reading the book she has in her hand, "May, have you seen the eighteenth century..." She asked without looking up.
May stopped her before she could finish, "Mom, we're... kind of busy." She said as she tries to hide the books on the table. Finn and Hunter also closed their books.
May's mom looked up and saw the four friends. She closed the book she had and looked at them for a moment. Her eyes could burn a hole through their faces.
She said, "May, I think it's time for your friends to leave."
"Mom..."
"Now!"
Hunter, Celia and Finn stood up. Hunter and Celia left as Finn tries to steal the book again.
"Leave the book," May's mom said.
As the friends exit, May said,"Mom, I can explain..."
May stared in horror as her mom walked closer to her. Then the anger from Mrs.Hemurter's face faded.
"I suppose, it's time to tell you..." Mrs.Hemurter said.
Outside of her house, Celia, Finn and Hunter are talking to each other and walking home. Sad for them that they can't drive any time soon.
All of a sudden they heard footsteps behind them. They turned around, then it was darkness...
