What was happening is many people were trying to beat this one duelist in match so they can win an acceleration chip

The most important part for a duel runner and duel board. The only thing to get out of Slum city as there is a pipeline that the people of Diamond city use to send their garbage to Slum city for the people of Slum to recycle and process their trash.

So having an Acceleration chip that can make a duel runner or duel board work is very viable especially because it's illegal to have a duel runner and duel board.

Many people were trying to beat the duelist so they could have it and hopefully make a duel runner or duel board so they can get out of Slum city even if they didn't know how to fully build a duel runner or Duel board.
