"This seems like a horrible idea Dappledstar," a pretty light brown she-cat whispered as she followed her leader through the darkness.
"Non-sense!" The other cat, a silver she-cat, called, "This is the only way. Tallulah! Buckwheat!"
A fat tortoiseshell she-cat scrambled up the stone wall of the kittypet place, a leaner orange tom beside her, "What?"
"We will be leaving and we wanted to say farewell," Dappledstar mewed to the house-cats.
"Aww shucks, where are ya goin?" The tom, Buckwheat, asked.
The light brown she-cat flicked her ears, "We follow the way of the stars."
The kittypet she-cat lashed her tail, "Good luck following your MoonClan friends. Their trail faded ages ago."
Dappledstar let out a muffled hiss, "We can find our way. Hope you're happy here with no more interruptions to your naps now that we are taking our apprentices to a new place with us. They sure as well won't miss you after what you did to Rowanpaw's ear."
Curling her claws as she rolled over, Tallulah grinned, "May you find shelter where you go."
The Clan cats waited for a moment, trying to respond but the kittypet beat them to it.
"Tick off, you're leaving now right?" She spat.
Dappledstar hissed through gritted teeth, leading the light brown she-cat back into the woods. When they emerged, she spotted the two other cats, a red tom and a sand furred tom, right where they had stopped.
"Redfeather, Shrewface, let's go," She mewed, letting Redfeather take the lead.
They soon emerged into a clearing where a golden-brown she-cat was grooming her fur while her two sons, a gray tom and a golden tom trained nearby.
"Primroseshine, how are Sootpaw and Sedgepaw?" Dappledstar asked lightly.
"Ready to travel, Pollyfur's kits seem less ready," The queen mewed, "Strikekit and Bushkit are prepared though."
"Has anyone seen Fernkit!" A black she-cat mewed, sticking her head out the tunnel behind Primroseshine.
The older queen lashed her tail, "Fernkit's out here playing, Pollyfur."
Dappledstar gulped, "It's time."
