I push Fenrys into my room, shutting the door behind us and laying my forehead there form a moment.
- So eager to have me in your room, princess ? he teases.
I look at him sternly before pointing at an armchair close to the fireplace.
- Sit.
He says nothing at my demeanour, complying in silence. I sit across him, just like I did moments ago. His gaze hold uneasiness, probably wondering what he might have done.
- Remember our talk during the last training ?
He nods.
- You're being particularly overprotective for someone whose mate didn't accept you yet.
He opens his mouth but I shut him first.
- I know it's in your nature, but I am very much capable of defending myself on my own. I do not need your protection or your white knight acting.
- I'm sorry. I just couldn't refrain myself. What he said is horrific and untrue. I cannot bear with it.
- And you are eavesdropping on my conversations, I add with a frown.
- Sorry. I kind of had a feeling he would react in a wrong way. I had to be there in case.
- Excuse denied.
I look at him curtly, arms crossed.
- You showed me you could defend yourself and I'll keep that in mind, he smirks.
- I do not believe you. You will act the exact same way the next time something goes on.
He lifts a brow in a teasing manner.
- Because you're already planning to be in trouble again ?
- Fenrys, I am being serious.
The male sighs.
- You know I can't help it. I refuse for my mate to be trash-talked. Big no-no. So I'll act that way again if I have to. Whatever you say. So you'll just have to take me to your room and ground me again.
It's my turn to sigh.
- You're helpless.
- I know. Is this talk over ? Can we move on to the fun stuff ?
- It almost seems like you want to prove Jelan right, I drawl.
His expression turns disgusted and tight.
- Do not ever say something like that again. This guy disgusts me and you are not a whore in any way. If he wasn't open-minded enough to give you what you wanted then it's his loss. But wanting to try things doesn't make you abnormal whatsoever.
I let out a small, amused smile.
- Now you're just trying to convince me to try with you.
- Well, I surely wouldn't say no to my lovely mate, he grins.
- About that.
Fenrys is serious once again, understanding that the talk isn't over.
- I'm listening, he says gently.
- I owe you apologies. What I said to you that day, it was lies.
- It's fine, we all say things we don't mean when angry.
- No, it's not fine. What I said is terrible. You never deserved it. You are an amazing person Fenrys, and that I mean form the bottom of my heart. You are one of the people I most admire ever since I knew you.
