The sun is shining above the green grass, the blue sea reflecting the light. In the sand-filled coast, villagers and some towns folk cheer as a ship arrives with new materials, spices, jewels and minerals. Fathers return to their families, to their wives and children, the sons up aboard, return to their mothers, recieving the warmest of the greetings. The towns folk help to empty the deck, taking every chest out of the wooden ship, every two men carrying one at a time placing them in wagons. After the ship was fully emptied out, the villagers took to the village to celebrate the arrival of their fellow travelers. Children were dancing, happy with the return of their fathers and brothers, the men were drinking at a small tabern, women talking and keeping an eye on the children. Dogs barked, tails waggling from happiness and excitment.
The next day, the wagons with the new goods make their way to the edge of the land, crossing dense woods and mountains to reach their destiny, a cliff, covered in flowers and a mesmerising view of the blue sea ahead. The villagers when getting closer, notice two men with iron armor, armed with swords and shields in their arms, who appear to be waiting for them. They get off their horses and approach the armed men. "Greetings fellow travelleres, where to?" Questions one. "Going up above, Sir." Answers the villager, adjusting his hat. The young man nods, pushing a golden lever on the floor. From under the water, emerges a quartz bridge, making its way to the floating island above them. The fellow villagers made their way up on said bridge, some carrying chests to relieve tension from the wagon to ease the horses. Reaching the grounds of the floating island, they make their way through the pearl-ish gates, making their way to the village. The sound of the local children laughing and speaking loudly, running around can be heard clearly. They get to their destiny, the local market. The town folk gathered around the wagons, watching the men carrying the chests. Some made their stop in the middle of the place, distributing the goods throughout the people so they could sell, while some chests kept going, those being the ones with all the precious gold and jewels. As they made their way, some curious children started to follow them, so did some people, they went along-side with the men to deliver the goods. They followed them to these big golden gates, a very tall building, large in propotion, as white as snow with some gold details behind it. A castle mostly made of quartz, was the destination of the young villagers.
The gates slowly opened, the men went inside as for the locals, stayed on their place or went back to what they were doing before. The horses stopped in front of the main entry of the building, tall white doors with elaborated motifs and decorations, standing between two high columns. The doors opened, the men left their horses outside, carrying the chests inside the castle, a young woman guiding them through the spacious and luxourious halls. The young men looked at every corner while walking, their eyes wandering around the halls. "This place is incredible!" One whispered. "I know. Imagine living in this comfort, surrounded by all of this gold!" The other whispered back. The girl listening chuckled. "I presume this is your first time on distribution duty?" She kept on walking slowly, letting the young men take their time observing the place. They nodded. "Do you live here?" One questioned, she nodded. "What's your name?" She asked, turning right. The boys following, one getting closer to the female's left. "I'm Damian" he answered. "And that dingus on your right is Sebastian" Damian kept talking. "Quit talking shit about me to the lady!" Sebastian argued. "Language boys, we are about to enter the throne room." The girl declared. "Throne room?" Sebastian asked. "Are we going to meet her?" Damian peeped in. The girl nodded once more. "Yes, so please do not use such language as before in front of her."
The young woman stood in front of two guards, both with swords and shields in position. When they saw her, they got out of the entry to the thrones, letting them pass. The two young men were stunned, in front of them was the leader of their land, sitting on the golden chair decorated with various rare jewels, golden crown resting on a pillow besides her, a golden spear laid againts the wall on her right side. The woman appeared to be reading a document. "Pass me the pen, please." She spoke, opening her hand, stretching it towards her councillor. The man picked the pen up and handed over to her, once she had it in her hand, she began to write on the document. "I presume those are the special delivery from down under, aren't they?" she questioned, without looking away from her main duty. "Yes, these young men came to give these and hand it over to your Majesty." the girl motion towards the pair of boys. The woman handed the document to the man beside her. "Put this on my office, I will take care of it later." she spoke, handing the document to the man, who bowed and went away. She raised up from the throne, taking a good look at the boys. "A little young to be making these deliveries aren't we?" she walked towards them. Damian and Sebastian adjusted their posture. "Uh I guess we are." Damian spoke up, Sebastian agreed. "Wistfully, please bring some water for them." "Of course your Majesty" the girl bowed and went away, leaving the Queen alone with the boys in the room. "Alright, what do we have in here?" She inquired. "W-Well, we brought some emeralds, since they were one of the most requested. There are also diamonds and gold as usual items." He explained, the woman listening. "There was also a discovery of a ruby filled mine, so they added those in the list as well." Sebastian ended, backing away and opening one of the chests. The Queen took a look and nodded. Damian then spoke up. "We were told that the castle was in a shortage when it came to office supplies, so we brought more ink and paper, as well as books and pens." he opened the second chest, and the woman took a peak, analyzing the materials. In the mean time, Wistfully made her way back, holding two cups of water, who were handed over to the young men. "Alright, seems like everything is in order. I will sign the proof documents for you to give to your chief. In the meantime, Wistfully will lead you to the respective places to place those chests." The Queen informed and walked away, making her way to a different section. The young girl spoke up. "Come with me." she leads the boys to the respective locations, who follow her without any hesitation. "How long have you been working here?" Damian asked curiously, the girl shrugged. "About three-four years ago. Is it your interest to know that kind of information?" Damian shook his head, Sebastian snorted at his friend. "NO no! I was just making small talk. I apologize." he responded, the girl chuckled. "It's alright.".
They made their way to the entry of the castle, were the Queen was waiting for them, on her side, a man wearing all white holding a scythe. "Alright young men, here is the document confirming that you made the delivery. Give it to your boss when you arrive." She explained. The boys nodded and bowed. "Thank you Ma'am. We hope to return to visit you once again." Said Damian. Sebastian nodded in agreement. Both climbed on their horses and made their way back home. "Safe travels!" she added, observing the pair going away. She made her way inside the castle, Wistfully and the man following behind her. "'Ma'am'. Really? That's what they refered you as. 'Ma'am'" he spoke. "Well not everyone lives up here Entity. Besides, it's pretty normal to use as well." She commented on the man's argument, sitting on her throne. "I don't see why you're making a fuss about it." The man placed his weapon next to the spear. "Well, you are an authority figure, you should be treated with the most respect." He kept on arguing, sitting on the chair beside hers. "Is it that difficult to say 'Your Majesty'? Or 'My Queen'??" He continued, she sighed. "Diamond if you want people to respect you as queen you need to be more assertive." He explained. "Diamond?" she questioned. "Wasn't it 'Your Majesty' or 'My Queen'?" she teased, a smirk on her face. The man crossed his arms. Wistfully watching the dispute, giggled. "You are no different from the rest just because you are helping me co-ruling Goldary." She explained. The man stood silent. "Aww someone's mad." She giggled. "I'm not mad, just very disappointed at you" he said. "And why is that, Mr. Entity 303?" she asked. "Not only did you embarrassed me infront of Wistfully our mere servant, but you refuse to acknowledge me as your partern for life, as in ruling this kingdom and in your personal life." he responded. Diamond chuckled, Entity getting closer. "You cannot tell me that I'm no different from the rest when I clearly am." His face gets way closer to hers. "Waaay more different, My Queen~" he stated. Diamond pushed his face away. "Yeah yeah, keep making stuff on that head of yours." she commented. Wistfully cleared her throat. "If I'm not interrupting, may I go to my room?" Diamond nodded. "Of course sweetheart, you can go." The girl bowed and walked away. A trail of black smoke was summonded in the center of the room, which morfed into a dark creature. "Guess who's back from boring duties!" it said. "Ah Null, you finished your shift to observe South Goldary." Entity spoke. "Any updates?" Diamond inquired. "No, everything is still the same, guards are doing their job correctly, defenses are laying low but show improvment in combat if we ever get raided. Besides that, nothing changed at all." Null replied. "If I may, when will I get an actual exciting thing to do? I can't stay on vigilant duties forever! I've shown my abilities." Entity adjusted his posture. "Yes but we are aware of your 'fantastic abilities' but we need someone to keep an eye on the village. Claire can only handle so much." Null puffed his cheeks. "Besides, how's Claire doing?" Entity questioned. "She's doing well, from what I saw she did catch some random guy trying to blow up something in the woods behind the village. He was arrested." Null answered. "Now if you don't mind, I need to relax, doing nothing is very tiring." In a matter of seconds, Null turned into a trail of smoke, who went through the door to another part of the castle. Diamond sighed. Entity held her hand. "We've been through a lot, haven't we." he muttered. "I guess, but we're doing good now, that's what matters." She said. "We cannot allow history to repeat itself." "And we won't. Everything will be fine." Entity acknowledged.
"We can do this." .
