Haganezuka pov:
---------------------------The sun was slowly falling over the horizon and the sky darkened into deep blues and purples encasing the earth like a dark blue blanket with
shining specks of light glittering through as stars and the moon. Clouds rolled gently over the skies blocking the moonlight from illuminating the darkness.I could see dots of dim lights emitted from the swordssmith village further up ahead. The unsettling feeling that something was wrong consumed my thoughts as I continued to stride forwards, the bells on my hat swaying in rhythm to my steps, I begin to see a figure of a young women slouched over against a tree. Her clothes bloody and stained. As I approached a shimmer of sliver caught my eye as I took notice of the fine high quality broken blade laid carefully on the floor.
The woman seemed to still be breathing, yet she was seriously injured.
"Hello?..."
The crickets chirped and the fireflys hummed but no response. Carefully I knelt down beside her and brushed the H/C strands of hair away from her face. She seems unwell. My home is not far she can rest there until someone professional arrives to treat her wounds. Gently I place the broken blade back into the sheath and placed it on my back. It's a shame to see such a fine piece of work snapped in two. I moved one arm underneath her knees and the other around her back and continued walking back to the village.
Y/ns POV:
---------------The demon did some serious damage. The ancient blade i once carried with pride shattered in one swing of it long claws. The fact I still somehow managed to survive the encounter seemed like a dream, maybe it was. The soft clang of metal against metal and the hissing of flames woke me from my unconscious state. My vision was still hazy and blurred when I first peeled open my eyes. I blinked few times to clear my mirky vision only to notice I was no longer in the woodlands I had remembered fainting in. I was laid carefully on a shikibuton in a traditional styled room of which nothing else was in. I reached for my katana beside me only to notice its not there and instead was only bloodied clothes and bandage I assumed were used to clean my wounds.
I could hear people quietly talking over the rhythmic beating of metal in a separate room of the minka as I slowly tried to stand up only to trip over my own feet and almost hit my head on the tatami flooring. My ribs were aching as I stood up. I remembered when the demon slashed at my chest at cut my side. My wounds were bandaged perfectly.
I carefully made my way over to leave the room and gently pushed the sliding door open just to be met by 2 men with masks covering their faces one with my blade in hand.
"I apologise for the rather informal meeting miss...?"
"Tsugikuni, Tsugikuni y/n"
"I apologise for the informal meeting Miss Tsugikuni but I did find you injured and therefore had to help."
Even though he had a mask covering his face and hiding his expressions I could tell he smiled slightly."Also when I found you , your blade was broken and therefore I decided to help fix it-"
"Oh thank yo-"
He continued to talk over me , carried away."-reinforced with high end Nichirin ore and the purest steel I could find. I noticed the sheath was also rather weathered and therefore I fixed that aswell."
His extreme dedication and enthusiasm about swords seemed amusing. He was definitely very passionate about it.
"I never got your names."
"Ahaha my apologies he gets carried away sometimes. I am Koso Kanamori and he is Hotaru Haganezuka"
"It's a pleasure to meet you both."
"Well I will now be taking my leave Hotaru and Miss Tsugikuni"
After Kanamori had left Haganezuka finished repairing my blade as I sat and watched from afar.Ater he had sharpened it and carefully placed it back into the sheath before placing it before me.
The white sheath seemed brand new.
"Remember to care for it properly from now on."
"Yes of course!"
"Your trained well with a blade I presume?"
"Yes actually my father made sure I was trained with a katana before the age of 14"
My father was always talking about slaying demons and protecting myself when growing up."Ah , are you a part of the demon slayer corps?"
"No-"
Before I could finish he started asking more questions."Was it a demon that attacked you? Do you have a breathing style?"
"Haha no I'm not a part of the corps. I have my own breathing style I created and lower 6 attacked me."
He sat there too stunned to speak. Although lower 6 is the weakest of the twelve high rank demons created by muzan it must be shock to find a simple wandering samurai slayed it with no help.
"Ahem. Sorry...that not what I was expecting. Have you thought about joining the demon slayer corps.?"
"Yes actually... I just never actually went to final selection and I only use this blade in emergencies it's very precious to me"
"I can make you another!"
He seemed happy about making another katana so I let him and maybe being a part of the demon slayer corps could improve my skills. He got to work straight away. Not waiting for a response from me. He seemed so concentrated that he completely ignored everything else. So I sat patiently waiting for haganezuka to finish.
