*One Week Later*

My class had just finished when a loud voice had called me over the loud speaker to the office, and my heart was racing as I raced towards the automatic doors, terrified of what was about to happen. Was I in trouble? I couldn't remember doing anything bad enough to warrant me getting sent to the principal, and as I waltzed up to the front desk, the same pouty woman from my first day greeted me with the same scowl she always wore.

"Miss Whiteburg, I've been waiting for you, I have your new roommate," she grumbled, pointing in the direction of the chairs. Turning swiftly I made eye contact with a small, shy looking girl with purple hair. "Hey," she whispered, smiling lightly. "I'm Charlie."

"Meg," I smiled, reaching out a hand to shake hers, which was covered in drawings and black nail polish.

"Miss Whiteburg will have a key for you, Miss Gray, and I trust she'll show you around," barked the receptionist, shooing us out of the way as she resumed reading the many notes scattered around her desk.  I smiled at Charlie, reaching out to carry one of her suitcases which she kindly accepted, wheeling the other behind me as she followed me out into the courtyard.

"So," I asked, turning back to look at her, "What brings you to Ellebrooke?"

She walked at my side so we could keep up the conversation, smiling as she spoke. "Well, I've never been good at school. I've always been way better at my own creative writing, but my dad hates it. He doesn't like the fact that I never do any work in class, so he thought a 'change of scenery,' would do me good," she grimaced.

I smiled at her small frame. She was stunning; her cheekbones were high and prominent and her hair fell in her face just enough to make her look reserved but still alluringly beautiful.  She spoke with such a gentle tone, one that could sing you to sleep or read aloud for hours without boring a single person in the room.

"I know the feeling," I spoke, as I held open the door to blue house. She smiled and nodded at me as she waited for me to lead the way, as I began dragging her suitcase up the stairs.

When we reached the top and I unlocked the door, she let out an almighty sigh as she flopped down onto the bed.

"Shit a brick, I'm exhausted," she laughed, stretching out before sitting up and unzipping her suitcase. She pulled out a hoodie, throwing it over her head, as well as her phone charger which she promptly plugged in.

"Why don't I order us a pizza? My treat," I grinned, grabbing my phone off my bed.

She clapped her hands, her eyes crinkling at the sides as she smiled, "We are gonna get on so well."
