Chapter 5 - Leaving Romania

Harry and Leah ran for days on no end, only stopping a few times to take a few thirsty gulps of water before they started running again.

They had no idea where they were going, they just knew they had to leave and that the palace; with it's beautiful gardens, Lake Lynn the place that had been their home for years, wasn't save for them anymore.

They wanted to cry for days and swallow in their grief upon witnessing the death of their family, but they knew they couldn't. The golden wolf probably crowned himself the new king of the werewolves and there was a change the Rogues were after them.

Harry just hoped that the golden wolf didn't knew about the existence about him and his sister and if he did, Harry hoped the golden wolf thought they were death.

But there also was a slim change the golden wolf realized the prince and princess escaped and he send out Rogues to find and kill them. And because of that slim change, they kept running.

Harry remembered his father telling him once that at least one Styles needs to be alive, and because of that, he did his best to look after himself and his sister. He's the oldest from the two after all, so Harry kind of saw it as his job.

He felt like his heart was beating in his throat and Harry wanted nothing more than to curl into himself and sleep for a couple of days, but he forced his paws to move faster, to archive an ever greater speed.

We just crossed the boarders between Romania and Hungary, Leah spoke up, making Harry blink his eyes.

We've never been so far from home before, Harry replied, looking around with a curious glance in his eyes.

He could hear birds singing in the distance, feel the smooth wind in his long fur and the warm rays of sun on his skin. Because of all the running they did, Harry didn't had time to look around much, so he took the opportunity they had to take his new surroundings in.

They were standing in a field full of exotic plants, colourful flowers and Harry could sense a hot water spring not far away from them. There also were mountains, hills and forests.

In other words: Hungary was a beautiful place.

Do you think it's save to take a rest here? Harry asked after a while of the both of them taking in their surroundings.

Leah sniffed the air, It's nearly midday, I guess. We can rest until night and then continue, she said after a while and Harry nodded in agreement, tiredly dragging his body towards the trees where he fell down in the shadows. The young prince of the werewolves yawned before he closed his eyes and fell in a deep slumber.

They left at night, when the moon was high in the sky and ran for a few days straight. They traveled through the Southern parts of Hungary and they reached Croatia - the next country - soon.

In Croatia they discovered that the Rogues weren't following them so they slowed down their paces and instead of running for a couple of days straight, they took breaks at midday, when the sun was at its highest point.

Alright, I refuse to go any further! Leah whined when she suddenly stopped running, making Harry nearly run into her, he would have if he hadn't jumped over his sister.

Harry landed a few feet in front of Leah and turned around, Why not? We're already in Italy! He replied, the adrenaline still pumping though his veins from all the running they did and the awesome views they saw in their journey. I want to see more of the world, he added when Leah didn't answered him immediately.

Leah narrowed her lime green eyes and flattened her ears. Harry, we went through four countries, five if we count Romania. We can travel more later, for now let's just stay here for a while, okay? She offered and stretched her slim body. And by the way, I always wanted to go to Italy.

Harry sighed and rolled his green eyes. Alright, I don't think it would hurt anyone if we stayed in Italy for a week or so.

Leah happily nodded, Sure, she agreed, seemingly happy enough with the outcome.

The two siblings ended up staying for three weeks in the Northern parts of Italy and Leah seemed happy with her new surroundings, while Harry on the other hand felt like he didn't belonged there.

He liked Italy. The weather was nice, they had great food and the people who lived there were nice. But it didn't felt like home, Harry didn't felt like he was supposed to be there.

Ever since Harry was small, he had always dreamed about traveling the world, seeing new and exotic places and expanding his horizons as far as possible. He always wanted to leave the grounds of Romania, where he felt trapped, and now, he finally had that change.

His heart arched to run wild and free and to find that one place he was able to call his home. Harry wanted to find that place where he belonged.
