Chapter 2

Kristen's Pov

I'm Kristen Foster. 16 years of age and currently leaving in Waldwick, New Jersey. A highschool student who's studying in WPS. I'm just a simple ordinary girl like the others. I really love singing.

"Hey Kristy, have you seen the latest cover of Timothy Jackson?" Camille said

"Nope, Why?" I asked

"Oh, watch it now! It has more than 10k views in 3 days." she said

Actually Timothy is such a great singer. I'm one of his fans, and Camille too. Well he inspires me so that's why I love singing.

While watching the video. Camille's friend came and interupted us on watching.

"Oh David! Hi! Meet my friend, Kristy i mean Kristen Foster, and Kristy this is David Rogers....." she introduced us to each other.

David Rogers is kinda taller than me. He's nice like Camille.

"....He is a guitarist and....oh yeah! He's looking for a voacalist, Kristy is a great singer, David" Camille said

What? He is one of the bands!? Waaa!!! Seriously?

"Oh yeah, do you want to join our band, Kristen?" David asked me

Me in a band? Oh hell yeah!

"I'm in, so...who's with us?" I literally asked

"I'll tell later, now let's go to the studio." he said

We followed him to the studio.

"You, me and the drummer, Wilbur." he said

He's a guy, he is tall.

"Hey guys! I'm Wilbur Miller, the drummer." he introduced his self to us

We smiled as a response.

"Come. Let's meet our Manager." Wilbur said

"Manager Martin! This is Camille my friend and this is our new vocalist, her name is Kristen Foster." David introduced me to their Manager.

I smiled and shake his hands. "Nice to meet you, Manager Martin." I said

"So you are the new vocalist of Against the Crowd huh, welcome!" Manager Martin said

A-against the Crowd?

"Against the Crowd? Is that our band's name?" I asked

Manager Martin laughed a little.

"Yes dear so, can we start now?" Manager asked

"Sure! What's song?" I asked

David gave me a piece of paper and I guess it's the lyrics of the song.

"That song is Red by Taylor Swift, you know her?" Manager asked

Of course! Who doesn't know her. She's popular!

"Yeah, so let's start!" I said

"Bravo! You all did a great performance!" the Manager congratulated us

I thought he'll hate my performance but I was wrong.

I woke up with a beautiful smile in my lips. I don't know why but I'm happy because I'm already a singer. I did my morning rituals and directly go down to eat breakfast.

"Good morning, Mom." I greeted my Mom and then hug her.

"Aww, good morning too sweetie, come let's eat breakfast." My mom said

I took my seat infront of Mom. My Dad is not here because he is working in Abroad.

"Mom I have a great news!" I proudly said

My Mom smiled.

"What is it sweetie?" Mom asked

"I'm in a band now!" I said "And I am the vocalist!" I continued

" That's great sweetie! You said that it's your dream right?" Mom asked

"Yeah and guess what, it came true." I said

I finished my meal and went to prepare my things for school. When I was about to leave the house, my mother asked me if I forgot something then I gave her a goodbye kiss and went to school.

When I was about to enter the room, Camille and some of my classmates greeted me.

"Hey Kristy, you look good in the video!" Camille greeted and looks excited.

"What video are you talking about?" I replied with a shocking face.

"The one you recorded with your new band, the Against The Crowd" Camille replied

I took my iPhone and search in the phrase "Against The Crowd" and a video came out like what I expected it would be, the song that we just performed yesterday is now uploaded and has more than 2.5k views.

*insert shock face*

And that started my career.
