I still remember the days that Ego used to play soccer along with me and Noa. They used to be THE rivals and I really enjoyed watching them going against eachother. Both of them were big egoists but of course, Jinpachi had the biggest one just like his name says. It's been awhile since we've heard of him and as one of his teammate, I got pretty worried and wondered where he went.

Until, we saw news about a revolutionary project about soccer. The main coach and organizer, it was him. Jinpachi Ego. The egoist. He would be coaching people to create the best striker to beat even Noa, the current best striker. His and Anri's project interested me so I decided to contribute to it.

I entered the room that he was in. He turned around looking at me. I was glad to see him again after such a long time so I ran to him and hugged him.

"Hello hello!" I said "how have you been doing Ego, it's been awhile."

"Hello y/n, I've been doing good. Thanks for asking. Why did you come here?" He said questioning why I'm here.

"Well obviously I came since I heard you were working on that project and it has been months that I didn't see you so I decided to come! Also could you tell me more about it? It looks quite interesting and I wanted to maybe contribute in it if you don't mind."
I said explaining what I was thinking.

"Basically, I got chosen to work on the project, called Blue Lock. It was designed to create the best striker in the world. Only the forwards that interested me got the invitation and they are all under 18 with amazing natural talents. When they get here, they'll go through hard trainings to become even better. They'll even play against other pro school teams and along pro players. I don't care about how much money we have to spend. We will awaken the best striker." He said determined.

"Mhm... sounds like a good plan." I said "allow me to join forces to help you with Blue Lock. And anyways, you know that I am pretty smart when it comes to soccer."

"In fact, you are right." "Sure you can join me in this journey." He said with a big grin.

A few days after, I got a call from Ego telling me that I need to go to the Japan Football Union building. I did as he asked me and entered from the back door. I saw ego sitting in his chair with a bunch of screens with some young teenagers and their stats. I looked at all of them and they seemed pretty interesting which fired me up.

"Are those the youngsters that we have to work with?" I asked still fired up.

"Yep y/n, these are the people that will become the future of Japan's football." He said looking at the stats.

I heard Ego's phone ring due to his set alarm.

"It's time. Follow me." He said "they should all be here by now."

"Who?" I asked wondering what he was talking about.

"The future of Japan. They've arrived." He said smirking and walking out of the room.

I looked at him with an 'O' face and just followed him.

We arrived on a huge stage. All lights closed and then one of them stroke Ego. I was watching from the backstage and saw all the teenagers just talking to eachother and looking at Jinpachi.
