Description of the book:
Kala is a normal young woman living in London, who is later taken by a man with whom she has a small rivalry, Whitlock. He brings her to a magical land called Asmen, filled with fairies and goblins, centaurs and imps. In Asmen, Kala is quickly lured and her desire for home is vanquished. She meets two friends of Whitlocks, Otis and Adylen, whom he met during his struggle in being accepted. Very soon after they get to Asmen, Whitlock explains what he knows about the land and it's history. The two stay there, making themselves comfortable and getting to know more fey. That is when Kala meets the village's crazy goblin who tells her of corruption in the royal family, about the oldest prince, Lycidas, and how he will attempt to put a curse on the land and control all the people there. Kala and Whitlock must put their differences aside and work together, and, with the aid of Otis and Adylen, defeat Lycidas and save the kingdom. But what does this mean for Kala? Might she have to change herself? Will she risk everyone and everything for the draw of her greed?

Kala:
Nicknamed princess because of the literal translation of her name 21 years old Chestnut brown hair, fair skin, hazel eyes, strawberry lips, petite and delicate physique
Whitlock (wit-lok):
Named after his cloud of white hair, Whitlock translating to 'white hair' from latin 23 years old White hair with some brown, emerald eyes, light olive skin, thin lips, tall and athletic physique
Otis:
25 years old Pale white skin with intricate gold patterns, glowing grey hair, deer horns
Adylen (Ah-de-lin):
25 years old Long pointed ears, scaled shoulders, halo of vines, brown hair, blue eyes
Lycadis (Lai-sa-dis):
324 years old Slender, tall, bright orange eyes, black hair, leathery skin, fangs, scars
**NOTES**
-This book is set in early 20th century (early 1900's)
