-The Club-
I was staring at my closet for nearly an hour now and I still have no idea what to wear. I very rarely used to go to clubs back home, and whenever I used to it was mostly with my cousins or very close friends, yeah call me all lame you want.
I picked a red cocktail dress but I was not sure if it was the right outfit. No..it was showing too much skin, why do I even own something like this ? I was on the verge of calling Skylar to tell her that I am not coming, when a black dress caught my sight..it was the dress I wore on my Amber's Bachelorette's party. It was a simple black dress with lace delicately covering all the right areas and the whole back.
It is no hard core rule for me to never repeat a outfit. The dress was short but what does it matter, it was not showing off anything unwanted, at least. I combined it with black pumps and my fancy sling-bag, don't look at me like that I can't handle clutches. I have an innate fear of losing them and my valuables along with it.
I looked at myself in the mirror and I looked quite good, I am not very curvy but whatever I had was highlighted beautifully in the dress. I decided to apply my typical kohl and red lipstick for a change.
I was done and after a few minutes Skylar was standing at my doorsteps dressed in a beautiful purple cocktail dress, her hair was tied in a high ponytail. I've left mine loose mostly because of my lack of creativity when it comes to hairstyles.
"Someone can get really lucky tonight!" Skylar grinned widely at me and I blushed at her bold comment.
"And that someone is you! Now let's go." I can't handle Skylar's bold comments, she is one of a kind girl with beautiful honey blonde hair and grey eyes.
~~***~~
The moment we entered the club, my head started throbbing lightly. Music was loud enough to make me go deaf in less than a minute but it also gave me a buzz which I did not mind. This club was not any ordinary club but a very high end one. I could spot some mini-celebrities too, the kinds you see on page 3, most of them were drunk though.
Skylar dragged me towards a booth where many of our co-workers were seated and were enjoying their drinks. I didn't notice Axel until he complimented me about how good I looked, thank god for the dim lights or else everyone could have seen my tomato-red face.
Skylar dragged me to the dance floor and I stood there like a dumb-numb child. I was not drunk enough to start dancing like an unleashed, wild animal. Everyone around me was dancing, or more like grinding against each other like crazy under the influence of alcohol.
I decided to go to the bar and order some mild drink with less alcoholic content, I was not crazy enough to have vodka shots when my tolerance for alcohol was less than Kim K's clothing.
I ordered a Lynchburg Lemonade, I never tried it before but I heard it was low on alcohol content, so it is suitable for me, I guess. And what's the harm in trying, anyway?
"Excuse me?" I tried to make my voice reach the bartender amidst the loud music.
"What can I get you?" He smiled politely at me showing me his pearly whites, why bartenders are so handsome?
"A Lynchburg Lemonade, please" I smiled.
"Coming right away." He gave me a cheeky smile and went away to get my drink.
I could spot Skylar and my other co-workers dancing to the beats of fast EDMs playing.
"Here ya go!" The bartender said and gave me my drink. I took a sip and the sourness of it made me flinch, I heard the bartender chuckle and I raised an eyebrow at him.
