*the next day you walk in after shopping with Bonnie for your birthday*
Stefan: "Have fun?"
You: "yes! I met Enzo and he was awesome! He got me a new dress, look!"
*You quickly pull the dress out. It's black with a red lace v neck*
Stefan: "that's gorgeous, I can't wait to see you in it."
*He pulls you close and kisses the top of your head*
Stefan: "any plans for tonight?"
You: "no, I thought about watching a new horror movie I found yesterday and just chill in my room."
Elana: "hey y/n! Happy birthday!"
You: "thanks Elana..I'm gonna go chill out and make some lunch."
*After a few minutes everyone walks into the kitchen to see you and Damon laughing and they see that he made your favorite for lunch*

Damon: "I'll join you tonight, if that's okay."
You: "you already made my vampire pancakes and got me a new outfit. You've done enough Damon, besides don't you have a date with Elana tonight?"
Elana: "we are going out with Bonnie and Enzo."
Damon: "I'm sure they'll understand, but I refuse to leave her alone on her birthday. And you only turn 17 once."
*He smiles and slides you over a cup of coffee*
Bonnie: "I think that's a great idea Damon, she could use some company in this big house tonight."
Elana: "then we'll have a night in."
*She smiles*
Damon: "actually I was thinking it could be just me and her. I'll make popcorn and we can make your favorite brownies."
You: "Really?! Yes!"
*You jump up and hug him tightly*
Elana: "Then we'll uh...we'll just plan for tomorrow then."
*She smiles and walks out with everyone else*
*That night you and Damon are watching the horror movie you found and you jump onto his lap and hide your face and he giggles*
You: "not funny!"
Damon: "says the girl sitting on my lap."
*He looks down at you and leans in*
